Rajjo 23rd August 2022 Written Update: Manorama punishes Rajjo for running the race

The episode starts with Arjun declaring in the mike that the race competition is organized by him and his associates organized. He says that they will start with girls racing. The village head says to wait for a while as only four girls have come. Arjun tells on the mike only those who have come on time for the race and can participate. Yamuna’s friends say to Yamuna that she will win the competition as Rajjo didn’t come yet. Arjun is about to whistle to start the race. Rajjo reaches there and requests him to let her take part in the race.

Arjun refuses as she’s five minutes late. Rajjo argues by saying that she reached before he whistles. Arjun firmly refuses. He starts the race. Rajjo pushes Arjun and starts running crossing all the obstacles. Yamuna’s friends hold a threat at a height higher than the obstacle to prevent Rajjo from winning the race. Rajjo prays to God and crosses it successfully and reaches the end point first. Manorama arrives there and sees Rajjo. She runs to her. She stumbles and falls.

Pratap advises Madhu to give freedom to Arjun and let him go away from him else he will choose himself to go away from her. Madhu gets worried and cries hugging the photo frame of her with Arjun. Their first daughter-in-law comes to Pratap and says that by the arrival of a daughter-in-law only a mother’s limits will change. Pratap says that he knows it so he wants to do it Arjun’s engagement soon. They discuss it. She says that mother in law only worries about Arjun, she never saw her getting worried about Chirag and calling him when he is outside. Madhu wonders why Arjun didn’t return yet and calls him.

There Arjun sees that his mom is calling. He doesn’t receive it seeing Rajjo happily dancing after winning the competition. Rajjo is overjoyed that she won shoes for her mom. Rajjo is called to collect her medal and prize. Arjun is holding the medal. Rajjo goes straight to collect the shoe ignoring the medal. Manorama shouts Rajjo. She comes to the stage and drags Rajjo with her. The village head apologizes to Arjun and says that this is mom and daughter’s habit.

The engineers run away when the water level crosses the danger and the dam can break. Here Manorama beats Rajjo with a stick for running. She then breaks down. Rajjo makes Manorama wear the shoes she won. Manorama cries hugging Rajjo. Rajjo says that she knows that she doesn’t like her participating in any games, but she won shoes for her by running barefoot so she participated in the game. Manorama apologizes to Rajjo for hitting her. Rajjo says that she understands that she has any compulsion so she stops her from running. She says that she doesn’t want to know this. She says that she wants to get a proper shelter, a bed, and a gas stove for her. She says that she doesn’t have the education to get all these, but she knows running and asks her to let fulfill her dreams by running. She says that she’s taking part in the competition taking place inside the village and requests her to not trash her for that. She rests her head on Manorama’s lap.

Manorama hallucinates Pushkar in front of her. Manorama says to Rajjo to get married and go to her in-law’s house where she can get respect, a good name, and relations which are more important than winning medals. She says that there’s no future in sports, but only fake promises. So she prohibits her from running. She gives her money to buy food and asks her to go home without running. She threatens to break her ties with her if she disobeys. She then won’t be able to see her face hereafter. She leaves.

A boy gives Arjun a phone. He says that Pushkar told him to connect with him. Arjun understands that mom must have told him. He says that Pushkar is father in law of his brother and he always stands by his family. There Pushkar gives the phone to Madhu. She thanks him. Madhu reminds Arjun about his engagement the next day and asks about the necessary details to stitch his shervani. She asks him to come immediately. He says that he will soon come and hangs the call.

Rajjo is about to eat gulab jamun.In the mike, it’s announced that the dam doors are going to be opened and everything will be submerged. All start running. Rajjo and Arjun help the elder person and kids to leave that place.

The episode ends.

Precap: there’s a flood in the village. Madhu sees this news on the TV and gets worried about Arjun. Rajjo and Manorama get separated in the flood.
