The episode starts with Raghunath reading the headlines to his family in English. Sundari asks Raghunath to translate it into Hindi. Mandira sends Sundari away. Mandira reads the news about Shiv and Shakti. In the news, it is written that Shiv recommended a girl who he has an affair with for the scholarship program. It is also written that in the rain Shiv and Shakti are doing romance after the interview. Raghunath shows Bhagwati the newspaper and asks Bhagwati if he still thinks Shiv is just like his grandfather. Raghunath believes the news story and thinks Shiv is having an affair with Shakti.
Mandira hints to Raghunath that Shiv is here. Raghunath and Mandira’s husband comment on Shiv. Raghunath thinks Shiv is having an affair with Shakti and that’s why he broke off the marriage proposal that Bhagwati brought. Shiv says there is no relation between Shakti and him.
Manorama stops Brijkishore from reading the newspaper and asks him to increase the money he takes for Pooja. Brijkishore gets fed up with Manorama and leaves from there. Manorama reads the newspaper and later puts it aside.
Nandu says there is nothing going on between Shiv and Shakti. Mandira says to Raghunath that Shiv is innocent and says Shakti is quite cunning and says Shakti might have used the situation to her advantage. Mandira also later tells Kashyap’s family that Shakti sneaked into Shiv’s room. Padma comments on Shakti and Shiv. Mandira insults Shakti’s character. Shiv feels restless hearing Mandira’s insults about Shakti. Bhagwati comments and says to Mandira that Shiv doesn’t understand these under handed tricks. Raghunath asks Shiv where is he going? Shiv says he is going to Shakti and says she needs him.
Shakti gets ready to go to the hospital. Manorama slaps Shakti. Manorama throws the news paper at Shakti’s face and asks Shakti if this is how she got doctor’s seat. Shakti reads the news about Shiv and Shakti. Rimjim tries to help Shakti. Rimjim asks Manorama what happened to her as there is mud on her face. Rimjim helps Shakti get up. Manorama says to Shakti that she can live without money but she can’t live without respect. Manorama says to Shakti how she was humiliated.
It is shown Manorama goes to the temple and prays to God for Rimjim’s marriage to happen soon. A few ladies beside Manorama ask Manorama if she sent Shakti to earn money. Manorama gets into an argument with the ladies. The ladies get angry at Manorama and push her into the mud. The ladies throw the news paper on Manorama’s face and asks Manorama’s to read Shakti’s deeds. Manorama feels ashamed after reading the news and goes back to her home with her head down.
Shiv says to Raghunath that he needs to go to Shakti and says he needs to save Shakti’s life from being destroyed. Raghunath asks Shiv what is there to save? Shiv shows the news paper to his family and says there are two people in this photo but everyone is only blaming Shakti and pointing finger on her character. Shiv says it’s wrong and leaves from there.
Manorama says to Shakti that she used to believe that she loves this family but she was wrong. Manorama says Shakti only loves herself and her dream. Manorama says there is nothing free in this world. Manorama accuses Shakti of paying this price for Shakti’s dream to come true.
