The episode starts with Kusum congratulating Lakshmi’s family. Mangal in tears says she is so happy. Adit thinks Karthik’s finished. He says to Karthik that he is happy as Karthik is getting married to a replica of Mangal i.e. Lakshmi. Kusum says that’s why she chose Lakshmi. Adit asks Karthik when their love story got started. Karthik stays silent. Adit asks everyone to give a pose for a family photo. Sonu takes their photos.
Karthik leaves Shanti’s house. Everyone feels shocked. Gayatri covers the situation and they all leave from there. Shanti thinks something is suspicious. On the way, Karthik sees Baba and recalls how Baba predicted his and Jia’s separation. He goes to Baba and asks him to tell his future with Jia. Baba says the upcoming days are bad and you will lose everything. Karthik asks what he means. Baba says now you’re in confusion but very soon it will be cleared and you will get your true love and everything will get settled. Karthik asks if he gets Jia. Baba smiles and leaves from there. Karthik thinks his love is Jia so he needs to cancel his marriage with Lakshmi.
Shanti asks Mangal why would Karthik leave suddenly without telling anyone. Adit asks Shanti to not overthink and cover-up saying Karthik likes Lakshmi. Mangal says Karthik told Lakshmi that he likes Lakshmi. Adit asks them to start marriage preparations leaving doubts. Adit says they will leave. Mangal asks if she can stay for some time. Adit agrees. Adit leaves from there with his father. Lipika comments on Lakshmi’s fate is not good.
Kusum and Gayatri come home. They confront Karthik about his behaviour. Karthik tells them he doesn’t want to marry Lakshmi. Gayatri reminds him that he gave Shagun to Lakshmi. Karthik says they are just gifts not Shagun. He refuses to marry Lakshmi.
Mangal goes to the Maata Rani idol. She asks Maata Rani to show her the correct way. Kusum tells Karthik that Lakshmi will land in trouble if he cancels the marriage. He orders him to get married to Lakshmi. Karthik refuses. Kusum asks him to tell his final decision. Karthik says he can’t cheat Lakshmi and if he marries anyone it will only be Jia. Kusum is taken aback.
