The episode starts with Karthik saying to Kusum that he will not marry Lakshmi. On the other hand, Mangal picks one packet. She sees that there are 6 puffed rice grains and thinks it is an auspicious sign. Lipika stops Mangal’s celebration and says there is a half puffed rice grain. Mangal asks God why she is testing her. Lipika says it looks like God is saying that Lakshmi’s marriage with Karthik will
happen but it is only a half marriage. Mangal gets shocked hearing it.
Kusum asks Gayatri to tell her opinion. Karthik asks Kusum to not involve his mother. Karthik says to Kusum that he will not marry Lakshmi.
Bhushan scolds Lipika for troubling Mangal. He comforts Mangal saying everything will be fine and asks her to start marriage arrangements by talking to Kusum. Mangal agrees and leaves for her home. Shanti pushes Lakshmi and goes to her room.
Kusum says to Karthik that she will bear the insult and will break his and Lakshmi’s alliance. Gayatri gets shocked. Kusum announces today two relationships will break. Gayatri asks Kusum why she is talking in this way. Kusum says their sister’s relationship will break too. Karthik asks Kusum to not put this type of condition. Kusum says her decision is final. She leaves from there
Karthik asks Gayatri why Kusum is blackmailing him to get married to Lakshmi. Gayatri says to Karthik that she can never forgive herself if Kusum breaks their relationship. She asks him to make the correct decision. He stays silent. Gayatri says she knows he values her. She asks him to take correct decision and she goes to stop Kusum.
Adit tells Soumya how happy he is to see Karthik’s state. Soumya reminds him that Mangal may use his money for Lakshmi’s wedding. Adit looks on. Sanjana insists Karthik tell the truth to Lakshmi. Karthik says it’s not easy. She asks her to think of their house’s situation. Sanjana tells him that it’s a good way to solve all problems. Karthik agrees to tell the truth to Lakshmi.
Kusum’s husband asks Kusum about Karthik’s behaviour in the ceremony. Kusum tries to manage the situation. Mangal questions Kusum if Karthik is really happy. Kusum scolds Mangal for doubting everything.
