The episode starts with Mangal asking Lipika about the promise that Adit hasn’t fulfilled. Lipika tells Mangal that Adit promised to buy her a good hair set worth Rs 45,000, but he hasn’t bought it yet. Mangal comments on Lipika and tells Adit that he doesn’t need to buy anything for her. Adit responds that he doesn’t mind and says Lipika deserves it since she is his favorite sister-in-law. Adit leaves.
Lipika hugs Mangal and admits that she knows she doesn’t care for her as Mangal does for her. Lipika says she will try to be a better sister. Mangal asks what happened, as Lipika never speaks like this. Lipika replies that nothing happened and expresses her hope that Mangal and Adit will always stay together.
Sowmya says she wanted to talk to Mangal because many things happened, and she also wanted to apologize. Kusum holds Sowmya’s hand.
Lakshmi recalls what happened and feels sad. Karthik approaches Lakshmi and shows her the name “Lakshmi” written on both his hands. Lakshmi says it looks good and asks why he seems sad. Karthik explains that he has to show both hands because the Mehndi artist wrote her name half on one hand and half on the other. Lakshmi realizes he did this to cheer her up, and Karthik confirms it. Gayatri arrives and asks Karthik what he’s doing. Karthik replies that he was trying to cheer up Lakshmi. Gayatri comments on this. Meanwhile, everyone in the house hears Kusum calling for Mangal and Adit.
Everyone gathers. Mangal asks Sowmya what she’s doing there. Shanti says that Sowmya must have been invited by Adit. Kusum responds that Sowmya came to apologize to Mangal. Sowmya agrees and apologizes to Mangal. Kusum tells Sowmya that in their tradition, they apologize with joined hands and lowered heads. Following Kusum’s instructions, Sowmya apologizes to Mangal. Mangal tells Kusum that this isn’t necessary because Sowmya is an outsider. Kusum responds that now that Sowmya has apologized, she’s thinking of forgiving her and allowing Sowmya to be part of Mangal and Adit’s wedding. Lakshmi asks Kusum why this is necessary. Kusum says it’s her decision and comments on it. She thinks this way, she can keep an eye on Sowmya and make sure she doesn’t cause any trouble.
Shanti tells Kusum that she used to think she was smart, but now Kusum has proven her wrong. She asks why Kusum allowed Sowmya to be part of the wedding. Kusum explains that Sowmya could hide in the shadows and cause trouble during the wedding, but if they invite her, they can keep an eye on her. Kusum gives Shanti the responsibility of watching Sowmya, and Shanti agrees.
Later, Kusum approaches Mangal. Mangal tells Kusum that she has always supported her decisions, but this time, she disagrees. Mangal asks why Sowmya needs to be part of her wedding. Kusum comments on it. Mangal worries that Kusum will be sad if she learns that Adit hasn’t gone to Mumbai to stay with Sowmya. Kusum, on the other hand, fears that Mangal will be devastated if she finds out about Adit’s extramarital affair with Sowmya.
