The episode starts with Sowmya approaching Lakshmi in disguise, making up a reason to take her phone and make a call. Sowmya later leaves, followed by Lakshmi.
Adit apologizes to Mangal, explaining that he was under work stress and didn’t intend to hurt her. Lakshmi reflects on Adit’s behavior, wondering why it changes from time to time, and comments on it.
The police arrive at Adit’s house. They ask Adit’s parents to call him. Kusum inquires about the situation. Adit steps forward, and the police inform him that he is under arrest due to a complaint of domestic abuse against his wife. Mangal insists the complaint is false and says Adit has never abused her. The police notice an injury on Mangal’s hand and, based on that, assume the complaint is valid. Mangal asks who filed the complaint. The police reveal that it was filed by Lakshmi. Mangal, shocked, asserts that Lakshmi would never do such a thing.
The police show the phone number from which the complaint was made, and Mangal is further stunned to see that it’s Lakshmi’s number. Despite this, Mangal still insists Lakshmi wouldn’t have filed the complaint.
The police ask Adit to come with them to the station. Adit questions Kusum, asking if she understands how much he’s been suffering over the years due to Mangal. As the police escort Adit away, the neighbors observe and gossip about him. Kusum turns to Mangal, asking why Lakshmi would file the complaint. Mangal says she doesn’t know. In her heart, Sowmya apologizes to Adit, thinking that to gain something, they must lose something for a while. She believes the blame will now fall on Lakshmi for what has happened.
Meanwhile, Karthik blindfolds Lakshmi in the kitchen and leads her to his room. He removes the blindfold and tells Lakshmi that he noticed she hadn’t eaten, so he prepared a surprise meal and asks her to eat with him. Lakshmi agrees after Karthik insists.
Kusum and Mangal go to Gayatri’s house. Kusum asks where Lakshmi is, and Gayatri says she is in her room.
Kusum confronts Lakshmi, questioning her about the police complaint against Adit for domestic violence. Lakshmi denies filing any complaint. Kusum informs her that the police told her the complaint came from Lakshmi’s phone number. Karthik steps in, stating that Lakshmi couldn’t have done it because she was with them the entire time. Kusum responds, but Karthik suggests they go to the police station to uncover the truth. Mangal also asks Lakshmi to confirm that she didn’t file the complaint, and Lakshmi agrees.
