The episode starts with Anurag’s family at an exhibition. Durga takes blessings from her madam. Madam tells Durga that tomorrow the school will felicitate her and says the invitation should have been sent to her home. Madam asks Durga if she will pursue medicine if given the chance. Durga says yes and mentions that Vikram will be making the decision regarding this. Durga then leaves. Anurag buys a lot of diyas.
Durga goes to the temple. A lady passes by and accidentally bumps into Vikram’s wife, causing her to drop flowers on Durga. Vikram’s wife tells Durga that someone pushed her and she accidentally dropped the flowers. She comments that this might be a sign from God.
Durga prays to the Goddess, wishing to pursue medicine and marry Anurag, and no one else.
Savitri asks Vikram’s wife if she knows what Vikram and Panibai were discussing last night. Vikram’s wife replies that Vikram never tells her anything. She speculates that Panibai might be arranging Durga’s marriage to Vikram, as Anurag and Durga had returned home wet. Savitri questions how they could arrange Durga’s marriage so quickly, saying that Durga is still a child. Vikram’s wife responds that if Panibai wants something, it will happen one way or another, and no one can stop it. She adds that Durga is very talented and could become a great doctor if given the chance. Otherwise, she will end up like her, bound by the shackles of marriage with no sense of identity. Vikram’s wife laments her lack of value in the household and expresses frustration that Vikram never speaks to her when they are alone. Savitri tries to reassure her, saying she will eventually get her rights. Vikram’s wife then asks Savitri if she ever got hers.
Panibai approaches Vikram and tells him they need to talk to Rajesh about their decision. Vikram informs Panibai that he wants to run in the elections and make Durga the face of his campaign. He questions who will vote for him if she gets married. Panibai responds that she can ruin everything if she chooses, but it won’t be her fault. Vikram clarifies that he’s only asking for her advice. Panibai suggests that even after Durga’s marriage, he can still make her the face of his campaign. The press will praise him for giving Durga a bright future and for continuing to take care of her post-marriage. Vikram agrees with Panibai’s suggestion.
Durga buys a friendship band for Anurag and heads to meet him at the sacred tree.
Rajesh arrives to meet Vikram and Panibai. Vikram tells Rajesh that they have chosen a girl for him to marry. Rajesh asks who it is. Panibai reveals it is Durga.
