The episode starts with Kusum asking Sowmya how she dared to send Adit to jail. Sowmya acts as if she doesn’t know what Kusum is talking about. Sowmya asks Kusum how she could hit her. Kusum comments on Sowmya and says Lakshmi revealed the truth—that Sowmya is the one who sent Adit to jail. Kusum says she knows Sowmya took the phone from Lakshmi and used Lakshmi’s name to file the police report against Adit. Sowmya calms herself, holding back from speaking against Kusum, thinking Adit would be mad at her. Kusum criticizes Sowmya for creating trouble in Adit and Mangal’s marriage. Sowmya asks Kusum if she has any proof. Kusum angrily grabs Sowmya’s hand, but Sowmya pushes her away. Mangal arrives and holds Kusum. Mangal warns Sowmya.
Karthik asks Lakshmi why she didn’t stay with his mother. Lakshmi tries to explain, but he stops her. He tells Lakshmi that he wants his mother to trust her as much as she trusts him, but her actions are preventing that. Lakshmi wants to respond, but Karthik leaves. Gayatri overhears the conversation and smirks.
Kusum wonders if Mangal overheard their conversation. Mangal questions Sowmya about why she misbehaved with her mother-in-law. She tells Sowmya that she will not tolerate her insulting her family. Kusum tells Mangal to let it go and asks how she came there. Mangal says fate led her to the truth when she saw her outside. Kusum feels relieved, thinking Mangal didn’t learn the whole truth. Mangal confronts Sowmya about framing Lakshmi and getting Adit arrested. She questions how Adit would feel if he found out. Sowmya challenges them to prove it. Kusum says they have proof, reminding Sowmya that she wore a burqa, took Lakshmi’s phone, and filed a case against Adit. Mangal asks Sowmya why she stooped so low. Sowmya refuses to admit her guilt and tells them to leave. Mangal demands that Sowmya fall at Kusum’s feet and apologize for betraying Adit and cheating Lakshmi. She warns Sowmya that if she refuses, she will file a case against her. Sowmya dares her to go ahead, hinting that all the truth will come out. Mangal asks Kusum why she went to Sowmya alone and stopped her from apologizing. Gayatri overhears Karthik canceling his concert. She asks him why. Karthik explains that tomorrow is Lakshmi’s birthday, and he wants to stay home to celebrate it. Gayatri calls his behavior unprofessional and reminds him that he was upset with Lakshmi. Karthik replies that Lakshmi’s birthday only comes once a year, and she has apologized many times, plus she is innocent, so he doesn’t want to hurt her. Gayatri expresses her displeasure and leaves.
Mangal calls Lakshmi and tells her she doesn’t understand why Sowmya acted against Adit, who trusts her blindly. Lakshmi agrees. Mangal says she plans to make Adit learn the truth and is happy her sister is proven innocent. She says she will talk later and hangs up. Lakshmi decides to find out the reason behind Sowmya’s actions.
Mangal opens the house door, and Karthik arrives, covering Mangal’s eyes from behind. Mangal, thinking it’s someone else, hits him. Karthik reveals himself, and Mangal apologizes, saying she didn’t know it was him. Mangal invites Karthik inside, but he says he’s in a hurry and needs to prepare something special. When Mangal asks why, Karthik reminds her that tomorrow is Lakshmi’s birthday and says he is planning a surprise for her. Mangal agrees, and Karthik gets a call and leaves.
Karthik prepares for Lakshmi’s birthday in his room. Lakshmi asks him to let her in. Karthik approaches her and asks why she wants to come inside. Lakshmi says her phone’s battery is low, and she needs to charge it. Karthik hands her the charger but asks her not to disturb him, as he’s on an important call. Seeing his behavior, Lakshmi thinks he’s still angry with her.
Adit returns home and sees Ishana, Akshat, and Mangal preparing for Lakshmi’s birthday. Adit recalls the humiliation he faced because of Lakshmi. After Ishana and Akshat leave, Adit lashes out at Mangal, questioning why she is celebrating the birthday of the person who filed fraudulent charges against him and tried to send him to jail. Mangal clarifies that it wasn’t Lakshmi but Sowmya who filed the police report against him.
