The episode starts with Sowmya pulling the dupatta from Mangal. Mangal asks Sowmya to be careful, reminding her that it is a wedding chunri. Sowmya agrees, saying the chunri is for her friend’s wedding. As Sowmya is about to leave, the salesman asks her why she is taking the wedding dupatta, as she mentioned her fiancé would also be coming. Mangal asks Sowmya if she is getting married. Sowmya calls Adit to tell him not to come there and tells Mangal that she is indeed getting married. Sowmya hopes Adit will overhear her conversation with Mangal and avoid coming. Adit receives the call but assumes Sowmya dialed him by mistake as she doesn’t speak.
Sowmya continues to tell Mangal that she is getting married and reminds her of her boyfriend. Mangal recalls Sowmya previously saying the wedding dress was for her friend. Sowmya covers up her slip by saying she misspoke.
Adit arrives at the saree shop, spots Mangal, and hides behind a mannequin. Mangal notices someone hiding, but Sowmya distracts her by talking to her.
Kusum returns home. Ishana asks Kusum if she brought the lyrics written by Karthik. Kusum shows the songs to Ishana and goes to rest. While talking to Akshat, Ishana notices the divorce papers. She assumes Karthik may have accidentally included important papers with the songs and sets them aside. Ishana later tells Akshat that she plans to make a video using one of the songs.
Back at the shop, the salesman tells Sowmya that it is considered auspicious for a bride to receive her wedding dress from a married woman. He suggests that Sowmya take the dress from Mangal, as they seem to know each other. Mangal agrees and gives Sowmya the wedding dress.
Ishana is shown making a video. Akshat comes into the room with a football. Ishana gets annoyed and asks Akshat to play somewhere else. Akshat refuses, and the football accidentally hits a diya, which falls onto Mangal’s wedding dress, setting it on fire. Ishana and Akshat, in panic, call for Kusum. Kusum arrives and extinguishes the fire with her bare hands. Sudesh asks Kusum if her hands are okay, but Kusum expresses concern, saying it is inauspicious for Mangal’s wedding dress to be burned.
Mangal receives a call from home, drops Sowmya’s wedding dress, and leaves. Sowmya quickly picks it up and leaves as well.
Sowmya gets into Adit’s car. Adit tells her that a blackmailer demanded Rs. 10 lakhs from him, sending a photo as proof. He shows the photo to Sowmya. Sowmya immediately recognizes the blackmailer as Lipika, stating no one else would do this. She reassures Adit not to worry.
Mangal returns home, and Ishana and Akshat apologize for burning her wedding dress. Mangal tells them not to worry and then notices Kusum’s burnt hands, tending to her injuries.
Mangal asks Kusum why she risked herself to save the dress. Kusum reminds her that it was her wedding dress. Mangal tells her that nothing is more important than her family’s well-being. Kusum comments on this and asks Mangal to perform the “Raavan Ka Dahan” tomorrow with Adit, as it is Dussehra. Mangal agrees.
Adit, on the other hand, is concerned about how to pay the blackmailer. Mangal brings him coffee and asks if he knows that Sowmya is getting married, and whether he plans to attend. Adit says no and makes a vague comment. Mangal becomes suspicious and leaves.
The next day, Sowmya meets with the pandit, telling him that she and Adit are getting engaged that day and asks for an auspicious wedding date. The pandit tells her that their horoscopes do not match, but there is a solution. He instructs Sowmya to tie a sacred thread on Adit before 7:20 pm that day to resolve the issue.
Mangal wakes Akshat. Kusum asks Akshat to help her by placing a red cloth on a plate and bringing it to her. Akshat doesn’t notice the divorce papers on the plate, covers them with the red cloth, and hands the plate to Kusum. Kusum places jewelry on the plate and gives it to Mangal, asking her to wear the jewelry that day.
