The episode begins with Shanaya telling Shukwinder that girls are better than boys. She says sons abandon their parents, not daughters. She adds parents have to spend so much money for their daughter’s marriage, not for their son’s marriage. Shukwinder asks Shanaya to stop this topic because the latter can’t win against her in the argument. Shanaya asks Shukwinder who they want to win. She says she wants to die.
Shukwinder says let her complete her point. She tells Shanaya that she wanted a grandson, and she actually thought Daljeet would give birth to a boy. She says she took care of Daljeet very well, and Shanaya is like this because of that. And says Daljeet asked for sweets, so she thought Daljeet would give her grandson to her. She adds she made kheer for Daljeet.
Shanaya says that’s not her problem because Daljeet ate kheer, not her. Shukwinder tells Shanaya that the latter was in Daljeet’s womb that time, so Shanaya ate too. Shanaya says she heard Shukwinder did not even carry her when she was born. Shukwinder asks why she will carry Shanaya when she did not get a grandson. She says she was expecting a grandson but got a granddaughter, so it’s obvious she was shocked. She asks whether Shanaya doesn’t know she carried the letter the next day. She says she gave so much love to Shanaya till now. She adds she gave more importance to Shanaya than Palki.
Shanaya says she doesn’t care about all this talk. Shukwinder says it’s not like she is against girls. She tells Shanaya that she treated the latter like an angel. She claims that she sang a lullaby for the latter. Shanaya says she doesn’t remember all that. Shukwinder says Shanaya was a baby that time, so she can understand Shanaya doesn’t remember all that. And she says Shanaya was the younger of the family, so she gave so much love to the latter. She asks Shanaya to trust her.
She tells Shanaya that when she learned Shanaya was going to get married to Shaurya, she thought Shanaya would support them in her old days. She says she doesn’t care about herself now, but she is worried about her son. She adds now she knows Shanaya will take care of her son. Shanaya tells Shukwinder that she would have done that no matter what. She says her daughter takes care of her parents after getting married too. Shukwinder agrees Shanaya is right. She tells Shanaya, Let’s go.
Shanaya tells Shukwinder that she did not forget she came to commit suicide. She asks Shukwinder to go. Shukwinder asks why Shanaya is not understanding. Shanaya says she is number 2 always, and she is tired of it. She adds she is invisible for her family, and Palki is their priority. Shukwinder says it’s not like that. She promises to love Shanaya the most. Shanaya says even her future in-laws love Palki more. She adds she became looser. Shukwinder says she will help Shanaya to get everything. Shanaya asks how Shukwinder can do that. Shukwinder says she will do something for sure.
