The episode starts with Mangal receiving a video call from Karthik. Mangal answers the call, and Karthik tells Lakshmi that he will take her to Mumbai for treatment and that it will be completed within four days. He also expresses hope that Lakshmi will be able to speak by the time Karwa Chauth arrives. Mangal replies that it’s really good news and that she hopes Lakshmi will recover soon. Afterward, Karthik ends the call.
Sowmya looks at the calendar and notes that there are only four days left until her wedding. She eagerly hopes Karwa Chauth will arrive soon so she can marry Adit.
After four days, on the day before Karwa Chauth, Karthik and Lakshmi return home from Mumbai. Mangal visits Lakshmi and asks what the doctor said. Karthik informs her that Lakshmi hasn’t responded to any of the treatments. Mangal asks why, and Karthik explains that the doctor suggested it might be due to stress. Sanjana comments that Lakshmi won’t be able to do the Karwa Chauth ritual in this condition. Karthik insists that the ritual will still take place and says he will do the Karwa Chauth ritual on Lakshmi’s behalf, hoping it will help her recover. Mangal praises Karthik for this. Sanjana remarks that it’s a good thing Gayatri isn’t here because if she saw Karthik performing the Karwa Chauth ritual for Lakshmi, she would definitely be angry. Karthik responds with a comment.
Sowmya is shown having mehendi applied to her hands by the mehendi artist. Adit approaches Sowmya, and she asks the artist to write Adit’s name on her hand, since she is about to get married. The mehendi artist says she thought Sowmya was having mehendi applied for Karwa Chauth, as there is no one else around. Adit asks the artist to proceed with applying the bridal mehendi and makes a light comment.
Ishana arrives and tells Mangal that she found a sherwani in Adit’s car. Mangal wonders why Adit bought the sherwani. Kusum says it’s for the Karwa Chauth ritual. Mangal questions this, pointing out that Adit has never worn anything like that before. Kusum reminds Mangal that Adit is trying to change and advises her not to overthink it. Mangal agrees.
The mehendi artist then applies mehendi to Mangal, and Mangal asks her to write her husband’s name, Adit, on her hand. The artist comments on the coincidence, saying that she just wrote the name Adit on another bride’s hand who is getting married tomorrow. Adit notices the mehendi artist and recognizes her as the one who applied mehendi to Sowmya, so he quickly makes an excuse and leaves the house.
The next day, all the women are getting ready for the Karwa Chauth festival. They ask Mangal why she hasn’t wiped off her mehendi yet and comment on it. Mangal finally wipes off her mehendi and is shocked to see that there is no red color left on her hand. The women tell Mangal that this is considered inauspicious. Kusum asks them to stop and brings a plate of vermillion water. She asks Mangal to dip her hands in the plate and later shows everyone that Mangal’s hands are fine, declaring that as long as she is alive, she won’t let anything bad happen to Mangal.
Sowmya notices that her mehendi has turned out very dark and believes this means Adit truly loves her.
Adit listens to a voice message from Sowmya reminding him to arrive on time for their wedding, scheduled for 8 PM that evening. Adit messages her back, assuring her that he will be there on time. Mangal brings coffee for Adit, and for the first time, he praises her coffee. Kusum later asks Adit to stay home for the Karwa Chauth ritual. Adit agrees, saying he will inform his office.
