The episode starts with Mangal running into Sowmya at the sacred tree. Mangal asks Sowmya if she is getting married there. Sowmya tries to leave, but Mangal stops her. Mangal asks Sowmya where she got that Kumkum box. Sowmya asks Mangal why she is asking about it. Mangal explains that she lost her Kumkum box, and it looks exactly like the one Sowmya is holding, mentioning that it’s not easy to find that kind of design these days. Sowmya realizes that Adit gave her Mangal’s Kumkum box. Sowmya tries to make up an excuse and leaves, but she drops her Pooja ki Thaal. Mangal catches the Mangalsutra. Both Sowmya and Mangal hold the Mangalsutra. Mangal asks Sowmya to respect the Mangalsutra, saying it binds two people in the sacred relationship of marriage. Mangal hands the Mangalsutra to Sowmya. Mangal notices the letter “A” in Sowmya’s Mehendi and asks if her husband’s name is written on her hand. Mangal insists on seeing it, but Sowmya refuses and comments on Mangal. Sowmya then gets into an auto and leaves.
Sowmya calls Adit and informs him that she ran into Mangal, explaining what happened. She also asks Adit why he gave her Mangal’s Kumkum box. Adit responds by saying he had no choice and makes a remark about it. Meanwhile, Kusum calls Adit to inquire about the divorce papers, but he doesn’t answer. Kusum decides to uncover the truth behind the divorce papers at any cost.
Mangal reflects on how Sowmya didn’t answer any of her questions and wonders why Sowmya has a Kumkum box identical to hers. Later, Mangal runs into Adit’s boss’s wife and asks how her husband is, mentioning that she heard he had an accident. The boss’s wife clarifies that her husband is fine and leaves. Mangal recalls what Adit told her and starts to wonder why Adit would lie about such a serious matter. Mangal then heads to the Ram temple for the Karwa Chauth ritual.
Kusum goes to the lawyer and demands to know who asked him to prepare the divorce papers. Initially, the lawyer refuses to reveal the information, but he eventually agrees when Kusum threatens to file a fraud case against him. The lawyer admits that Sowmya requested the papers. Hearing this, Kusum realizes that Sowmya had the divorce papers prepared and tricked Adit into signing them.
Meanwhile, the auto that Mangal is riding to the temple gets a flat tire. Mangal steps out of the auto and, after speaking with the driver, realizes she won’t make it to the Ram temple in time for the auspicious hour. She decides to perform the Karwa Chauth ritual at a nearby temple instead.
Mangal calls Karthik and explains what happened. She tells him she won’t be able to reach the temple on time and says she will come later. Karthik agrees and ends the call. Lakshmi then tries to tell Karthik that Adit wants to divorce Mangal.
Mangal arrives at the Shiv temple, where Sowmya and Adit are getting married. Mangal feels restless but doesn’t know why. Adit and Sowmya are taking pheras around the fire. A lady advises Mangal not to worry and to complete the Karwa Chauth ritual by imagining her husband’s face. Mangal agrees with the lady and proceeds with the ritual.
Mangal looks through the Chalni and sees Adit and Sowmya taking pheras. She is shocked.
