The episode starts with Devika reminding Gajendar that this is her in-laws’ house. Gajendar replies that it might be her in-laws’ house, but for Kritika, it is hell. Kritika asks Gajendar how this can be hell and says this is her in-laws’ house. Gajendar slaps Kritika. Devika tells Gajendar that her in-laws understand Kritika’s situation, and yet he is behaving like this with his own daughter. Gajendar tells Devika that she is responsible for what happened. He adds that he should have broken ties with her when she eloped with Guru and married him, but as a father, he couldn’t. Gajendar criticizes Devika. Guru tells Gajendar that he is not only talking to his daughter but also to his wife. Chandrakanth says no one can insult Devika in this house. Gajendar asks Kritika to come with him, or he will break off ties with her. Kritika replies that she is already married, and once married, previous relationships end.
Teerth arrives and offers tea to Suman and her family. Suman tells Teerth she will not drink tea. Teerth reminds Suman that Rishi used to say the real Suman Indori would never refuse two things: tea and poha. Teerth places a cup of tea in front of Rishi’s photo. He tells Suman that from now on, whenever they drink tea or eat poha, they should serve a plate for Rishi; otherwise, he would be angry. Suman notes that Rishi’s cup is empty, so Teerth pours half of his tea into it and asks Suman if she won’t do the same. Suman asks Teerth how long he will hide his tears to make them smile. Teerth says Rishi would be very angry if he saw them all sad. Later, Teerth serves snacks to Suman’s family. Suman watches as Teerth cares for her family, trying to bring smiles to their faces. She looks at Rishi’s photo and says that Rishi must have known how good Teerth is, which is why he arranged her marriage to him. Suman wonders why she couldn’t see Teerth’s good side before and recalls how she used to hate him, but now he stands by her.
Gajendar criticizes Kritika again and asks if she will come with him or not. Devika asserts that no one can force Kritika to do anything and reminds Gajendar that after their mother left, she was the one who took care of Kritika, not him. Gajendar responds that he means nothing to either of them. Gajendar takes water in his hands and ceremonially breaks ties with them, throwing water as a symbol. He then leaves. Chandrakanth wonders if he now has to take care of the mentally unstable Kritika. Devika follows her father.
Devika approaches Gajendar. Gajendar tells her that it’s the first time in his life he hit Kritika, and only because of Devika. He says Kritika isn’t strong like them and expresses worry that she might actually go mad while pretending to. Kritika says she used to be weak, but after her heart broke, she became strong. She declares she won’t stop until she separates Teerth from Suman. Devika tells Gajendar that they had to do this because Suman has been receiving a lot of sympathy after Rishi’s death, but now, after their act, Kritika’s broken heart has come to the forefront of the Mittal family. Gajendar blames Teerth for everything. Devika agrees and reassures Gajendar not to worry, saying she will make Suman’s life hell in the house.
Teerth talks to Suman and wipes her tears. He tells her that sadness is something that lessens when shared with others. Teerth asks if she will allow him to share her sadness with him. Suman cries upon hearing this. Teerth wipes her tears. Meanwhile, Gulshan takes a picture of Teerth wiping Suman’s tears. Gulshan steps aside and thinks to himself that he will not allow Suman to stay in her in-laws’ house for long. Gulshan sends the photo to Devika. Devika, after putting her daughter to sleep, looks at the picture of Teerth wiping Suman’s tears and vows in her heart that she will make Teerth fall at Kritika’s feet.
Teerth places a pillow beside Suman to support her head and then sleeps on one side.
