The episode begins with Ruhi and Rohit noticing Abhira wiping her tears as she leaves. Ruhi comments that Abhira seems troubled today. Rohit advises Ruhi not to stress herself or the baby and suggests that Abhira and Armaan might have had an argument over the Karvachauth issue. Ruhi disagrees, saying Armaan could never be upset with Abhira as he is devoted to her blindly. She insists the issue must be something else and asks if Rohit is concerned about Armaan. Rohit replies that he’s worried for Armaan, just as Ruhi worries about her sister. Ruhi tells him not to call Abhira her sister. Rohit agrees and says he will speak to Armaan to find out what happened, to which Ruhi agrees.
Meanwhile, Abhira, lying under a blanket, tells her baby that their father loves them but is concerned about the complications, which is why he is pushing for an abortion. Armaan joins Abhira, and she asks him to feel their baby. She tells him that their baby is determined to come into this world and fight, and they should help her make it. However, Armaan says he cannot take that risk. Just then, Armaan’s cousins arrive and tease them about their “blanket romance.” Abhira and Armaan come out from under the blanket. Krish and Charu show off some dresses, and Charu asks Abhira to bake a cake for her engagement. Abhira hesitates, but Armaan promises she will do it, and Abhira reluctantly agrees. Rohit then asks Armaan if everything is okay. Armaan assures him that it is.
The next day, Dadi Sa gifts a family heirloom ring to Charu and asks if she likes Neeraj. Charu happily says she likes him very much. Neeraj and his family arrive for the engagement. Dadi Sa mentions they’ll begin the engagement once Abhira and Armaan arrive. Krish offers to go and call them, but the groom’s mother questions why he needs to step out, asking if they aren’t staying in the house. Krish quickly explains that they’re inside.
Armaan notices that Abhira isn’t ready and appears upset. He helps her get dressed and brings her to the engagement ceremony. Charu and Neeraj exchange rings and receive blessings from everyone. Krish playfully teases his sister Charu, and then the photo session begins. Family members notice Abhira’s unhappiness. During the photo session, Abhira places Armaan’s hand on her stomach.
Just then, Manish arrives at the engagement. Sanjay approaches him and questions why he came uninvited. He rudely asks Manish to leave. Manish explains that he didn’t know about the engagement and is about to leave when Dadi arrives and asks why he came so late and where Surekha and Swarna are. Manish tells her that they were unaware of the engagement. Dadi apologizes to him, remarking how her family has forgotten to respect relationships. Manish refuses to stay where he doesn’t feel respected and leaves. Dadi scolds Vidya, Kajal, and Sanjay for their behavior.
The groom’s mother suggests it’s time for the couple to cut the cake. Charu says that Abhira made a cake for the occasion, but Abhira admits that she didn’t and apologizes. Sanjay gets upset, asking why she didn’t inform them earlier that she couldn’t make it. Armaan supports Abhira. Neeraj says it’s fine and orders a cake from a friend’s shop. They proceed to cut the cake. Meanwhile, Armaan notices that Abhira is missing. He searches for her and finds her crying in a cupboard.
