The episode begins with Vikram asking Anurag and Anubhav to go to Rajesh’s house and invite Rajesh and Durga for the Pag Phere ritual. Vikram advises Anurag not to stay for a meal, as they might insist. Panibai comments that she could have accompanied them, but tradition requires only the men of the house to go. Anurag agrees, and Anubhav says he will join him. Aarthi is surprised, remarking that she thought their relationship with Durga would end after the marriage. She comments to Vikram that he seems to have developed a lot of affection for Durga lately. Panibai chides Aarthi, saying she never understood her son. When Savitri questions her, Panibai reminds her that she has raised Vikram more than his own mother, leading to a light exchange between the two women.
Anurag and Anubhav arrive at Rajesh’s house bearing gifts, and Rajesh welcomes them warmly. He remarks to Meera that Anurag and Anubhav have come to invite them for the Pag Phere ritual. Anurag tells Rajesh that Vikram has invited them to their house and asks him to come tomorrow. Rajesh reminds Anurag that he is their house’s son-in-law and should be invited with a little more respect. He then jokingly asks if they only invited him or Durga as well. Anubhav retorts, saying they wouldn’t come bearing gifts just for him. Laughing, Rajesh says he was only joking and asks Meera to prepare some food for their guests.
Meanwhile, Durga sees Anurag and silently wonders why he has come. She questions in her heart how he could believe she was happy with this marriage and if he truly thinks she had an affair with Rajesh. She tells herself that she will never let him know the truth and wishes for him to find a good girl to take care of him.
Meera appears and asks Durga to come downstairs. Durga refuses, but Meera warns her that not going down would fuel gossip. Meera then escorts Durga downstairs, advising her not to oppose Rajesh anymore. Durga, however, insists that as long as she is there, she will continue to resist. Meera notes that Rajesh takes pleasure in breaking other people’s stubbornness.
Rajesh boasts to Anurag and Anubhav about how well Durga has settled in his home, mentioning that she has even given up her dream of becoming a doctor. Anurag and Anubhav try to leave, but Rajesh stops them, suggesting Anurag meet Durga, or else she might be hurt. They reluctantly sit back down.
Durga brings tea and snacks for Anurag and Anubhav. As she turns to leave, she slips, and Anurag catches her. They share a lingering gaze until Rajesh snaps Durga out of her trance and sends her away.
