The episode starts with the Deshmukh’s preparing for the Diwali. Sachin goes out and finds Sayali making rangoli, so he sits beside her. And he flirts with her by asking to fill her hairline with the colours. Sayali questions him. Sachin then suggests helping Sayali with her rangoli, but Sayali firmly refuses to remind him about his past of ruining her rangoli. So Sachin suggests her teach him, and like a good student, he will learn it. Sayali refuses. Sachin drops a few colours in Sayali’s rangoli. He further troubles Sayali. Sayali catches him. They both share an eye lock. Just then, Akash arrives there with Riya. Sachin deliberately bumps into Akash. Paresh, who sees this, takes Sachin inside with him. Riya comments on Sachin’s attitude. Sayali looks worried.
Sachin inquires with Paresh about his health condition. The latter assures him. He then requests Sachin to let the family members celebrate the diwali peacefully because he doesn’t know how long he can celebrate festivals with them all. Sachin requests him not to say anything such. Paresh tells it’s not how long a person lives but how happy his/her life should be. He then folds his hand in front of Sachin, asking him to celebrate diwali with everyone. Sachin gets shocked by Paresh’s behaviour. So he pleads with Paresh not to behave with him such a way. Also, he gives into Paresh’s request.
Outside, Sayali requests Riya to help with her in decorations. Riya agrees. She praises Sayali’s decorations. Both Roshni and Riya have a conversation about hiring a vendor for decorations so that they can enjoy their diwali peacefully. Sachin and Paresh arrive there. Renuka starts taunting Sayali by comparing it with both Roshni and Riya. Paresh takes a stand for Sayali by reminding her that the lights are brought by Renuka during last year celebration. Renuka becomes speechless. She gets determined to let her favourite daughter-in-law do Laxmi puja during this festival.
Later, Riya goes inside the kitchen, where she finds Sayali preparing for sweets. She praises Sayali’s efforts. She then insists Sayali teach her to make sweets. Sayali agrees. Just then, Renuka arrives there. She comments on Sayali for trying to fool her by not doing work with her chit-chat session with Riya. Sayali defends herself. Riya also takes Sayali’s side. Also, she questions Renuka about her behaviour towards Sayali. Renuka gives her some lame excuses. She then urges Sayali to make the diwali arrangements soon, but Riya suggests together as a family they should help Sayali. She takes the preparations outside, which shocks both Sayali and Renuka.
Riya shares her idea with the family members to make sweets together. Renuka passes a comment on Sayali, which hurts the latter. Paresh handles the situation. Riya asks Sayali to share her childhood diwali celebration with them. Renuka passes a crude remark, but Paresh encourages Sayali so Sayali shares with the entire family about the memories. After that, Roshni also shares her memories related to diwali as per Riya’s insistence. Riya then shares her struggles to get ready for the diwali party, which brings a smile on everyone’s face. Paresh shares the diwali memories related to Akash and Sachin. Sachin gets emotional. Sayali informs Paresh about making rava laddu under Renuka’s order. Sachin gets hurt, so he goes inside. Renuka smirks. Sayali gets confused.
