The episode starts with Mangal seeing Akshat in an unconscious state. Adit asks Mangal to stay away from his son. Adit takes Akshat to his room and puts him to sleep.
Mangal comes to Akshat’s room. Adit tells Mangal that he already told her to stay away from Akshat. Mangal responds to Adit, saying Akshat is her son, and he can’t keep her away from him. Akshat regains consciousness. Mangal asks Akshat to tell her what happened. Akshat recalls what happened at school. Akshat tells Mangal that he wants to sleep. Kusum asks Akshat to tell them what happened. Akshat says he has to sleep. Adit comforts Akshat and puts him to sleep, then takes Mangal and Kusum outside.
Adit tells Mangal that she is not a mother but an enemy of Akshat. Adit blames Mangal for Akshat’s situation. Kusum asks Adit to explain clearly what happened. Adit tells Kusum and Mangal that he is going to show them Mangal’s deeds. Adit explains that at school, they played a video about poor people and asks Mangal and Kusum to look at the photo. Mangal and Kusum see Mangal’s photo while carrying a sack. Mangal says this photo is from when she worked at Chandu Ka Halwai and wonders how this photo ended up at the school. Adit says someone might have taken that photo. Adit tells Mangal and Kusum that at school, all the children bullied Akshat, calling him the son of a laborer, and he later lost consciousness. Adit criticizes Mangal for doing that kind of work. Mangal says she doesn’t care what he thinks about her and that she is only worried about Akshat. Mangal tries to go to Akshat, but Adit reminds her that Akshat doesn’t even want to look at her face.
Lakshmi thinks about what happened in the temple with Mangal and accidentally burns her hand in the kitchen. Karthik comes to Lakshmi and asks if she is thinking about Mangal. Lakshmi says yes and expresses that she doesn’t know how she will be without talking to Mangal. She says she is worried for her. Karthik tells Lakshmi not to worry about Mangal and comments on it.
The next day, Ishana packs her school books and asks Akshat why he hasn’t gotten ready. Akshat says he will not go to school today. Ishana asks why, as today is Children’s Day. Mangal comes and asks Akshat the same question. Akshat says he is having stomach pain and leaves. Ishana says she doesn’t know why Akshat is lying. Mangal thinks about it.
Mangal gets a call from the principal asking her to come to the school. Mangal agrees.
Mangal waits outside the principal’s room and overhears the parents complaining about laborers’ children joining this international school. Mangal enters the principal’s office.
The principal asks Mangal to stay outside. Mangal asks why she shouldn’t be there since they are talking about her. Mangal asks the parents what is wrong with her working, as they are also working to earn money. The principal explains that this is an international school with a reputation and status. Mangal comments on it. The parents give an ultimatum to the principal, saying if Akshat studies here, they will take their children away from the school. The principal, hearing this, asks Mangal to either stop doing this kind of work or remove her children from the school.
Karthik arrives at the photoshoot and learns that he has to do a half-nude photoshoot with Jia. Karthik tells Jia that he will talk to the head and refuses to do the photoshoot. Jia introduces herself as the head of Red Label Company. Karthik is shocked upon hearing this.
Mangal is in a dilemma, as she is working for Akshat and Ishana, and now Akshat is in trouble because of her. Mangal gets a call from Keerthi, asking if she will deliver their tiffins.
