The episode begins with Lakshmi wondering if Karthik has forgotten his promise, as he didn’t show up at the meteor shower spot. Just then, Veda approaches Lakshmi and shows her Karthik’s autograph. Seeing it, Lakshmi breaks down in tears.
Meanwhile, Gayatri sees Karthik angrily strangling Jia. She rushes to stop him and demands to know what’s going on. Karthik accuses Jia of hiding the truth—he says Lakshmi is alive. Jia denies it, claiming she investigated and the girl is not Lakshmi. She pleads with him to trust her. But Karthik refuses, convinced Lakshmi is alive. Jia questions him, “If Lakshmi is really alive, why hasn’t she come back to you? She used to give big emotional speeches—so where is she now? Why hasn’t she contacted you even once?” Karthik walks away in silence.
Elsewhere, Veda bumps into Raghuveer. He asks what happened. Lakshmi explains, “Veda got Karthik’s autograph today, but I failed to meet him.” She cries. Raghuveer apologizes, feeling responsible. But Lakshmi assures him it wasn’t because of him or Veda and walks away.
Later, Gayatri confronts Jia and questions what she has done to Lakshmi. She suspects Jia is hiding something. Jia coldly responds, “Let the past stay buried. If it comes out, even you’ll be in trouble.”
Back at home, Veda finds Lakshmi looking sad and asks what’s wrong. Lakshmi insists she’s fine. Veda suggests they go out to eat as usual, saying, “It’s Thursday—let’s go have mango cheesecake, like we always do.” Lakshmi says they can go next week. Veda presses, asking if she’s upset. Raghuveer gently intervenes and tells Veda not to insist. Just then, he receives a call from the doctor and sends Veda to get her drawing book.
Raghuveer learns from the doctor that a heart donor has been found for Veda. Elated, he shares the news with Lakshmi. He says, “Once the surgery is done and Veda is healthy, we can finally tell her the entire truth.” Lakshmi smiles and says she’s happy for Veda. Veda returns and shows her drawing. Seeing Lakshmi smiling, she asks if it means they’re going out for cheesecake. They agree.
Elsewhere, Karthik calls the inspector and says the hospital claimed the girl isn’t Lakshmi, but begs for help in meeting her. The inspector refuses and cuts the call. Distraught, Karthik drinks and cries for Lakshmi. Suddenly, Lakshmi appears before him. She reminds him of their bond through music and pleads with him to sing for her once again. Karthik plays the guitar and sings a heartfelt song. They embrace. As Lakshmi walks away, he begs her not to leave. At that moment, Lakshmi gets hiccups. Veda says, “Me and Dad are right here—who else could be missing you?” Lakshmi thinks of Karthik.
At a café, Jia’s friends tease her for not inviting them to the engagement. Jia laughs and says, “Today’s the party. You’ll all be invited to the wedding.” Just then, Raghuveer, Lakshmi, and Veda arrive at the same café. Veda orders mango cheesecake. Coincidentally, Jia also orders the same. The waiter informs them there’s only one slice left, and it’s been reserved for Veda. Jia asks Veda to let her have it, but Veda refuses and takes the cake. Jia, in a fit of spite, trips Veda and walks away.
Lakshmi rushes to Veda, who complains about how a woman tripped her. Lakshmi, angry, asks, “Who is that shameless woman?” and says she won’t let her get away with it. Raghuveer calms her down, urging her not to fight and suggesting they go elsewhere. As he returns to their table to get his wallet, Jia sees Lakshmi—and is stunned.
