The episode begins with Lakshmi looking at the hoarding of Karthik and Jia’s engagement. Coincidentally, Karthik is nearby.
Meanwhile, Raghuveer receives disheartening news from the doctor — the heart donor meant for Veda has backed out, as the donor’s family changed their decision at the last moment. Raghuveer urges the doctor to find another donor, but the doctor explains it could take up to six months.
Raghuveer then calls Lakshmi and informs her that Veda’s condition has worsened. He asks her to return home immediately. Lakshmi agrees and leaves in an auto. Karthik, who is in the vicinity, also gets into his car and drives away.
As the auto starts, Lakshmi’s pallu gets caught in the tire. She asks the driver to stop, gets down, and untangles it. Karthik spots her from his car and is stunned. He begins to follow her. However, Lakshmi gets back into the auto and leaves before Karthik can reach her.
At home, Veda insists that she wants Lakshmi. Raghuveer tries to calm her down. Hearing a noise, he steps outside and sees a woman in the dark. He assumes it’s Lakshmi and attempts to speak with her.
Elsewhere, Karthik halts his car in traffic and chases the auto on foot but loses track. People urge him to move his car, and he eventually drives away.
Lakshmi reaches home and comforts Veda, eventually putting her to sleep with a lullaby. Raghuveer watches Lakshmi tenderly caring for Veda.
Meanwhile, Gayatri calls Karthik, asking him to return home. Karthik refuses, saying he is searching for Lakshmi. Gayatri tells him to accept that Lakshmi is no more, but Karthik insists he saw her with his own eyes and hangs up.
Karthik then spots the same auto driver and confirms it’s the one Lakshmi rode in. He approaches the driver, who initially doesn’t recognize him, but later realizes Karthik is the famous singer and provides Lakshmi’s address.
Raghuveer questions Lakshmi about her distress. Lakshmi shares that she saw the news of Karthik and Jia’s engagement. Raghuveer checks the internet and confirms the news. Lakshmi, however, refuses to believe Karthik could think she was dead. She insists Karthik must be searching for her. Raghuveer counters, saying not everyone is like her. Lakshmi firmly says that even if God told her Karthik had moved on, she wouldn’t believe it — she wants to hear it from Karthik himself. She walks away. Just then, Raghuveer receives a message and wonders how it’s even possible.
Karthik reaches the address given by the auto driver and enters the house. To his shock, he sees Raghuveer hugging Lakshmi. Raghuveer tells Lakshmi not to be upset and that he’s just a little late. He then applies sindoor to Lakshmi’s hairline. Karthik watches, heartbroken.
