The episode starts with Mangal receiving a call from Pratima, who informs her that Kapil is unwell. Pratima thinks to herself that Mangal’s actions will reveal whether she truly cares for Kapil or not. Mangal prepares khichdi and kadha for Kapil. Adit sees her leaving and asks where she is going. Mangal replies that Kapil is unwell, and she’s taking Khichdi and Kadha for him. Adit recalls how Mangal used to do the same for him, but he had never appreciated her efforts. He comments that Kapil won’t eat it and adds, “Dad needs you here.” Mangal replies that Dad and Kusum have gone to the temple, and she’ll return soon after visiting Kapil and Shanti.
Mangal reaches Kapil’s home and urges him to drink the kadha and eat the khichdi. She scolds him for not taking care of himself due to work. Pratima smiles, seeing her concern. Kapil says, “I know Mom told you.” Pratima steps in and admits that she had informed Mangal about his health. Mangal says, “You both took such good care of me, and now it’s my turn.” Kapil asks about Sudesh. Mangal says he’s recovering but seems to be trying to say something she can’t understand. Kapil suggests that Sudesh is still dealing with trauma and may be trying to convey something through signs. Mangal decides to investigate the symbol Sudesh keeps drawing. She gets a call and tells them she’s leaving. After she leaves, Kapil says he feels better now. Pratima teases, “Is it the kadha or Mangal that made you feel better?”
Later, Mangal meets Shanti and asks why she’s making so much pickle. Shanti says some is for home and some for selling, but something seems missing. Mangal adds a spice mix, and the taste improves. Shanti praises Mangal, who smiles. While reflecting on Kapil’s words, Mangal notices an ‘Om’ tattoo on Shanti’s hand and wonders if Sudesh’s symbol might also be someone’s tattoo. She tells Shanti she has to leave. Shanti insists she stay, but Mangal says she has work and leaves.
Soon after, Pratima visits Shanti’s house with gifts. Shanti is surprised and asks why she’s there. Pratima says she’s come to ask for Mangal’s hand in marriage for Kapil. Shanti feels happy. Just then, Mangal returns to collect her forgotten phone. Pratima quickly hides. Mangal asks who the visitors are. Shanti lies that they came from the Sharma household. Mangal retrieves her phone and leaves. Shanti apologizes to Pratima for hiding her. Pratima says she understands, adding, “We can’t change Mangal’s past, but my son and I will give her a bright future.”
Pratima asks Shanti to consider the proposal. Shanti says Mangal still sees the Saxenas as her family even after the divorce and won’t agree to this match. Pratima asks if she’s even tried talking to Mangal. Shanti admits that Kusum had supported Mangal more than her. She agrees that Kapil is the right match for Mangal but insists she won’t agree to this alliance. Pratima says, “You’ve accepted defeat before even trying. At our home, Mangal will get the respect she never received at the Saxenas’.” She leaves. Shanti reflects on her words and wonders what to do next.
Mangal shows Inspector symbol Sudesh drawn. Inspector doesn’t consider it as strong evidence. Mangal says this can be tatto of culprit so please reopen the case. Inspector refuses to help them Mangal rebukes him and says i will search the culprit by myself. Senior inspector comes there and tells Mangal that they will reopen the case and takes the symbol papers Sudesh drawn. Mangal thanks him.
