The episode begins with Dil deciding to make Raghav Kumar her father, following the suggestion of the cat. She notices an injury on Nandini’s leg.
Raghav asks Shanaya to help him bandage the wound. Shanaya refuses, saying she dislikes the smell of medicine, and tells Raghav to do it himself. Raghav agrees.
As Nandini sleeps, Dil tells her not to worry, saying she has found a father for her who will take care of her. Dil lovingly sings a lullaby for Nandini.
The next day in school, Dil tells her friend Ram that she plans to make Raghav Kumar her new father. The teacher asks Dil to focus on class, and she agrees. Later, the teacher asks Dil a math question about how many items are there for her birthday. The students mock her, saying Nandini never celebrates her birthday. However, Dil answers correctly. The teacher praises her and scolds the class for teasing her. Dil tells the teacher not to worry, as her mother will throw her a grand birthday party this year, and no one will mock her again. She later distributes birthday invitations to her friends.
Ram tells Dil that Raghav Kumar is already married, so she’ll need to find another father. Dil then notices her PT teacher walking by and follows him, only to see his children running to him. She realizes he, too, cannot be her father, and walks away disappointed.
Meanwhile, Dil’s uncle gets a call from a lawyer, who tells him that his father’s will is ironclad—he will inherit the house only after Nandini dies. Enraged, Dil’s uncle becomes determined to get rid of Nandini.
On the other side, Nandini is stopped by some debt collectors who demand repayment. She pleads for more time, but they forcibly take the money from her hands and seize her truck. Nandini begs them to return the money, saying it was for Dil’s birthday, but they refuse to listen.
Dil comes home and sees Nandini telling her sister-in-law about the incident. Dil quietly witnesses the conversation.
Later, Dil watches videos of Shanaya celebrating her birthday on her phone. Nandini approaches her, and Dil jokingly says they can celebrate her birthday with just bananas. Nandini hugs her affectionately.
To recover the seized money, Nandini pawns her jewellery and manages to collect enough to repay the debt.
At Raghav’s house, reporters arrive to cover Shanaya’s birthday. They ask Natasha to call Raghav, and she goes to fetch him.
Meanwhile, Dil’s uncle hires a goon to kill Nandini that very day.
The next morning, Dil wakes up and goes downstairs. To her surprise, the house is beautifully decorated and her friends are gathered. Nandini walks in and wishes her a happy birthday.

Precap: The goon drops a hoarding on Nandini, injuring her severely. She is rushed to the hospital.
