The episode begins with Kapil looking at a photo of himself and Mangal, recalling the moment Adit broke Mangal’s fast by offering her water. Just then, Mangal arrives with a glass of water. She says, “I heard you haven’t had a drop of water since morning.” She continues, “I don’t know how it happened. I fainted and started coughing, and that’s when Adit came to my aid.”
Kapil coldly replies, “I didn’t ask for any explanation.” He adds that his mother’s anger is justified, as her dreams were shattered in front of all the guests. “I know you didn’t do it intentionally, but the damage is done—and I can’t see my mother getting hurt again and again,” he says before walking away, adding, “I don’t want to get caught in this whole fast and ritual drama.”
Meanwhile, Adit is haunted by Pratima’s harsh words. Mangal returns home, and Adit immediately confronts her. “Where were you when your mother-in-law was insulting me and my mother?” he demands. Mangal replies, “I was inside. I didn’t know what was happening. I tried to explain everything to Pratima and Kapil.” Adit snaps, “You cleared your name, but I was made the villain. Why are you even here? Go live with your new family. They humiliated me endlessly.”
Mangal pleads with him to listen, but Adit reminds her, “You used to say I never came on time to break your fast—but I did it this time. I fulfilled my duty.” Mangal responds, “We’re not together anymore, and you weren’t there when it truly mattered.”
Kusum watches silently, wondering why Adit is still affected by Mangal’s marriage to Kapil.
Later, Kapil brings food to Pratima and asks her to let go of her anger. Pratima admits she has calmed down but expresses concern for Kapil. “I know how hurt you are,” she says. “You haven’t eaten either.” When Kapil says he’s not hungry, she confesses, “I was happy thinking you’d moved on. But now I wonder—maybe Mangal isn’t the right person for you. Adit is the father of her children, and he’ll always be around. Maybe I was wrong to arrange this marriage.”
Back at the house, Mangal sees a food thali on the table and asks whose it is. Sowmya mockingly says, “Pretend it’s yours. Didn’t they feed you at Kapil’s house? Looks like they’re angry about your little act.” She jests that if Kapil didn’t feed her, she can call Adit—just like he gave her water. Mangal firmly responds, “Adit just helped me. Don’t twist things.”
Sowmya accuses her, “You stole my rights. Do you want both Adit and Kapil?” Mangal replies, “It’s pointless talking to you.” As she tries to leave, Sowmya blocks her path. Mangal says, “Trust your husband. I’m leaving this house after the marriage—shouldn’t that make you happy? I’ve already signed the divorce papers. Look at them every day if you need reassurance.”
Meanwhile, Shanti pleads at Pratima’s feet, asking her to forgive Mangal. But Pratima says, “I can’t keep watching my son get insulted repeatedly. I don’t think Mangal is right for Kapil. I’m sorry.”
Kapil couldn’t drink water. Pratima shows to Shanti that from last day my son didn’t eat anything. Mangal serves food to Kapil. Kapil thinks servant kept food without listening to him and asks him to take back food. He sees it’s Mangal. Mangal asks Kapil to not show his anger on food and I don’t like it you’re not eating food because of me and I can’t hurt you. Kapil asks if she is giving him a bribe by giving her handmade food. Mangal says you’re misunderstanding me and I don’t know how to tell you and I’m leaving. He holds her hand. Mangal looks on.
