The episode begins with Lakshmi noticing a shadow eating salad. She suspects it is Jia. Lakshmi enters the room but finds no one there. Confused, she wonders how this is possible since she clearly saw someone walk in.
Meanwhile, Pratima is shown speaking to someone over the phone. Lakshmi hears footsteps and decides to leave.
The next morning, Lakshmi gets ready to perform the Naag Panchami puja. Gayatri arrives and taunts Lakshmi, saying that instead of finding evidence to prove Karthik’s innocence, she’s wasting time performing puja. Lakshmi calmly replies that today is Naag Panchami and it’s important to perform the rituals. Gayatri, unimpressed, tells her there’s no point and urges her to focus on finding Karthik. She then walks away.
Lakshmi prays to God, asking for guidance to prove Karthik’s innocence. Just then, a snake charmer arrives and asks for food. Seeing him, Lakshmi gets an idea and seeks his help.
Lakshmi disguises herself as a snake charmer (saphera) and enters Jia’s house. While Prema gives her money, she accidentally drops the snake box. The snake escapes. Prema panics and asks the saphera to catch it. Lakshmi, in disguise, tells her to alert everyone as the snake bite could be dangerous. After a prayer, the snake returns to the box. Lakshmi feels relieved and closes the lid.
She then activates a toy snake and observes Prema talking to someone who has the same mark on their leg as Jia. Lakshmi confirms the snake is caught and leaves.
Later, Lakshmi meets the inspector and shows him a photo of Prema giving money to Arpit. She also shows video footage of two plates of butter chicken in Jia’s house and the leg footage. She urges the inspector to raid Prema’s house. The inspector agrees.
The police arrive at Prema’s house with a warrant and begin their search. However, they don’t find anything. Lakshmi, determined, continues searching and discovers a secret room. She asks the police to open it. Prema tries to stop them but fails. The police open the door and find a girl inside. The girl tries to escape, but Lakshmi catches her—only to realize it’s not Jia.
Prema tells the police that the girl is her friend’s daughter, whom she invited to stay as she was feeling lonely without Jia. Lakshmi questions why the girl ran away if she had nothing to hide. The inspector tells Lakshmi to come back only with solid evidence next time and leaves. Lakshmi is left thinking, “Where is Prema hiding Jia? I’m sure the girl I saw was Jia.”
Lakshmi visits Karthik in jail and asks him about Jia’s allergies and fears. Karthik reveals that Jia is allergic to acrods (dry fruits). Lakshmi thanks him for the clue.
At the temple, Prema is shown distributing food to the poor. Disguised again, Lakshmi requests Prema and the girl to eat food in Jia’s memory. They agree and begin the prayer. During this time, Lakshmi secretly mixes acrod powder into the girl’s food. The girl soon develops an allergic reaction. Lakshmi is stunned and wonders, “If she’s Jia, how did her face change?”
