The episode starts with Kapil seeing Monisha talking to Mangal. He imagines a scenario where Mangal breaks off their relationship after learning the fabricated truth from Monisha. Mangal tells Monisha that Amma is calling her. On the way, Akshat accidentally spoils Mangal’s saree, so she goes to Kusum’s washroom to clean it. Meanwhile, Kapil comes near Mangal’s room. Standing outside, he tries to reveal the truth about his past to her.
Kapil says he was once in a relationship with a girl—Monisha—and they had planned to marry. However, destiny had other plans, and something happened that separated them. He says he feels lighter after sharing the truth and assumes Mangal is listening from inside. Kapil explains that he saw Monisha here after a long time, but they have no connection now. He adds that he had tried to tell her this many times but couldn’t, and he was worried because she didn’t know about his past. He asks her to take her time before deciding and apologizes.
Kapil leaves, unaware that Adit was inside the room, overhearing everything. Adit smirks, thinking he will use this secret to create a big stir. Just then, Mangal steps out of the washroom and notices Adit smiling strangely. She wonders what’s wrong with him.
Later, in the hall, Kapil asks Mangal for a response, apologizing again and asking if she is upset. Mangal, thinking he is talking about a delayed order, replies that mistakes happen and they should move on. She asks him not to overthink. Kapil feels relieved. Kusum offers him masala tea, but Kapil refuses, saying his heart feels lighter after talking to Mangal, and leaves. Adit thinks about how Kapil’s mother insulted him and vows to make Kapil face double the humiliation.
Pratima scolds Kapil for revealing the truth to Mangal. Kapil insists he did the right thing, as Monisha might have told her otherwise. Pratima asks how Mangal reacted. Kapil says she is mature and understanding, so there’s no problem between them now. Pratima feels relieved and suggests celebrating his birthday this year, forgetting the past, but Kapil declines and leaves.
Meanwhile, Adit searches online for news from August 12, 2022, saying that Kapil committed a big crime that day.
While sorting through papers, Mangal finds something shocking. She immediately calls Kapil, telling him to come quickly as she has learned the full truth and didn’t expect this from him. She hangs up. Kapil tells Pratima something has happened and suspects Monisha is behind it. Pratima fears her worst suspicions have come true. Kapil rushes to meet Mangal.
Kapil is surprised to see Mangal and her family organizing a surprise birthday party for him. Mangal wishes him a happy birthday. Kapil asks how she found out about his birthday. Mangal says, “You never told me that 12th August is your birthday. Mom had kept our kundli in the room, and I saw that today is your birthday, so I called you.”
Kapil thinks that Mangal has accepted him along with his past and decides to live happily with her after their marriage.
