The episode starts with the lawyer telling Pratima that there is no way to bail out Kapil immediately, as it will take time. Pratima thinks to herself that Mangal might be with her ex-husband. Just then, Mangal arrives and says they don’t have time. She asks Pratima if she met Kapil. Mangal tells the lawyer that the police found an earring at the crime spot, which indicates a woman’s presence there, and asks him to retrieve it for some time. The lawyer agrees and leaves. Mangal then tells Pratima that she is sure Monisha was present at the crime scene. Pratima scolds her, saying she already tried to bribe the police and now has given risky work to the lawyer, asking if she is trying to increase troubles. Mangal denies it, saying she never sent any bribe, and wonders who sent it in her name.
Later, Kusum asks Mangal to prepare the jadi-buti potli for Adit, the same way she once prepared it for her. Mangal agrees. Kusum says she will feed the kids and leaves. Mangal begins preparing the potli by adding spices into a cloth. She realizes she forgot to add tulsi and neem leaves, so she goes to fetch them. In the meantime, Sowmya enters the kitchen and decides to oust Mangal. She overheats the potli, thinking that when Mangal uses it on Adit, he will get hurt and Kusum will throw Mangal out of the house.
Mangal later brings the potli to Kusum. Together, they try it on Adit. Mangal carefully checks the heat first and, once satisfied, applies it on Adit’s body. Sowmya watches in shock, wondering why nothing went wrong. Kusum happily says Adit seems to be feeling better. Ishana arrives and asks why Mangal called her. Mangal explains how to take care of Adit and then confronts Sowmya. She says she saw her plan with her own eyes and tells her not to be afraid—she has no intention of interfering between her and Adit. She only wants her children’s father to recover and doesn’t want him to face more trouble. Mangal scolds Sowmya for her actions and warns her not to play with her husband’s life. Just then, Mangal receives a call from the lawyer and steps aside.
Mangal shows the earring to a shopkeeper and asks if it came from his shop. He confirms it is. Mangal requests him to share the buyer’s details, but he initially refuses. After Mangal pleads with him, explaining that an innocent person’s bail is at stake, he agrees and gives them his record book. They check the details but don’t find any useful information. Pratima angrily says Monisha’s name is not there and accuses Mangal of wasting her time. Mangal wonders aloud, if it’s not Monisha’s, then whose earring is it.
Meanwhile, Akshat calls everyone, saying Adit has woken up. The family rushes to his room and feels happy seeing him better. Sowmya opens her arms for Adit, but he runs to Mangal and hugs her tightly. Everyone is shocked. Mangal tries to break the hug, but Adit refuses to let go. When Sowmya asks him to leave Mangal, Adit pushes her away, still clinging to Mangal. He childishly says he is scared of cockroaches. Akshat reveals it’s only a toy, but Sowmya angrily asks Adit what drama he is doing. Adit replies he doesn’t know her and asks her to stay away. Kusum lovingly says “Adit beta,” but Adit looks at her and says, “Who are you, aunty?” Kusum tearfully says she is his mother, but Adit insists she is not and claims he doesn’t know any of them. The family is left in shock.
