The episode starts with Adit searching for his shirt, worrying that he is getting late for an interview. He recalls the past, how he once scolded Mangal when she told him that the blue striped shirt suited him. Coming back to the present, he asks Sowmya about that shirt. Sowmya questions why he wants that particular shirt and suggests he wear something else before leaving.
Adit then calls Mangal and asks her about the blue shirt with white stripes. Mangal asks which one he means. Adit clarifies, saying it’s the shirt he once wore, and she had told him he looked good in it. Mangal reminds him that he never liked it, so she probably placed it with the old clothes in a suitcase. Adit thanks her.
Meanwhile, Bua Dadi comes to Mangal and asks if the prashad is ready. Mangal says it is and hands her phone to Lipika before leaving. Akshat takes Mangal’s phone from Lipika. Lipika tells him to return it to Mangal if anyone calls her.
Mangal checks the food and confirms everything is cooked. Shanti comes to her and complains that Bua Dadi is old-fashioned. She suggests sending Akshat home. Mangal replies that since it’s a holiday, let him stay here, and goes to check the remaining arrangements. Shanti, troubled, thinks that Pratima has put her in a tough spot—how can she stop Bua Dadi from learning that Mangal is a widow with two kids?
Bua Dadi notices that the used vessels are not washed. She sees Akshat playing on the phone and asks where his mother is. Akshat says she isn’t there. Dadi orders him to clean the vessels. Akshat refuses at first, but Dadi sternly warns him, leaving him with no choice. In tears, Akshat washes the vessels.
Meanwhile, Adit opens the suitcase but doesn’t find the shirt. He video calls Mangal to ask about it. Akshat answers the call. Adit sees him washing vessels and questions why he is doing that. In tears, Akshat drops the phone into the water, and it stops working. Concerned, Adit leaves for the temple to meet Akshat since the phone isn’t connecting.
Mangal searches for Akshat. Bua Dadi asks Pratima why Mangal hasn’t started distributing prashad yet. Adit learns from Kusum about the temple Mangal went to and rushes there. Bua Dadi then asks Mangal to begin distributing prashad, but Mangal says the children are missing, and she will start only after finding them. Dadi asks Pratima why Mangal is acting as though she’s searching for her own kids. Pratima covers up, saying Mangal just loves children a lot.
Soon, Mangal finds the kids and asks them about Akshat. They say they don’t know. She then sees Akshat washing vessels. Rushing to him, she wipes him clean with her saree and asks why he was doing this. Akshat replies that Bua Dadi ordered him. When she asks why he didn’t refuse, he says he did, but she scolded him until he obeyed. Mangal consoles him, tells him not to cry, and decides to confront Dadi.
Bua Dadi complains that Mangal ignored her and didn’t give her prashad because of the children. Just then, Mangal arrives with Akshat and questions Dadi about making a child wash dirty vessels. Dadi insists she did nothing wrong and scolds Mangal for speaking to her in this manner for the sake of “that kid.” Pratima and Shanti try to stop the argument, but Mangal firmly says what Dadi did was wrong. Dadi then asks why she is reacting like if Akshat is her son, shocking Mangal.
