The episode starts with Karthik coming to the hospital and giving a donation cheque, which Devi Maa in Lakshmi’s roop had asked him to give. While leaving, he sees the old lady he had seen in the village and asks her what happened. The old lady says that a girl fell from the cliff and she needs AB negative blood. Karthik says that’s his blood group and he will donate. The old lady says, “I know it’s Durga Maa who sent you.”
Meanwhile, Jia searches the area where she had thrown Lakshmi. She finds a piece of saree stuck to a tree and realizes it’s Lakshmi’s saree. She thinks she has come to the right place and hopes to find another clue. A watchman comes there and asks Jia to leave as it is a risky place. He tells her that two days ago a girl fell there, was attacked by animals, and since no one came, he performed her last rites. He asks Jia to leave and walks away. Jia goes to the place of the last rites and sees Lakshmi’s saree. She thinks it must be Lakshmi’s dead body. She digs the ground and sees the corpse. She wonders, “If this is Lakshmi, then who is at home?” Suddenly, the corpse holds Jia’s hand. Jia screams in fear and runs away.
At the hospital, Karthik donates blood to Lakshmi, not knowing that he is saving her life. Durga Maa guards Lakshmi.
Jia returns home in fear. She thinks that whoever is at home is Lakshmi’s spirit and wonders how to escape from her. She opens the door of cupboard and sees a skeleton. Terrified, she runs out and collides with Karthik, telling him that Lakshmi is a ghost. Karthik replies that dead people become ghosts. Jia insists that Lakshmi’s skeleton is in her room. Just then, Lakshmi comes there and says she is alive and asks how she could become a skeleton. Jia thinks she cannot expose herself by admitting she killed Lakshmi. Karthik then says that it must have been his team who placed the skeleton in her room and tells her not to worry and to sleep. Jia leaves.
Later, Jia pours oil on the steps to test whether the person at home is really Lakshmi. Durga Maa, in Lakshmi’s roop, walks normally on the steps. To confirm, Jia herself steps on the oiled steps and falls at Lakshmi’s feet. Devi Maa, in Lakshmi’s roop, blesses her with good thoughts and leaves. Jia resolves to find out who is actually living in the house as Lakshmi.
In Lakshmi’s room, Durga Maa in Lakshmi’s form enters. Karthik gives her a bouquet. A bee bites him, and he drops the flowers at her feet. Karthik says, “Please accept them, as they have reached your feet.” She smiles. Jia witnesses this and thinks, “This Lakshmi is keeping her distance from Karthik. I need to use this.”
The next day, on the first day of Navaratri, Jia suggests that it would be nice if husbands filled their wives’ hair parting with sindoor. All the couples do it. But Maata Rani in Lakshmi’s roop stops Karthik from applying sindoor in her maang.
