The episode begins with Chinta Bua bringing the ancestral necklace into the hall. While playing, Akshat accidentally collides with her, causing the necklace to fall. Ishana quickly catches it and apologizes to Dadi. Chinta Bua pulls Akshat’s ears and scolds him for playing during the function before leaving. Pratima is about to apply mehendi to Mangal when Chinta Bua interrupts and says to apply it thickly, as Mangal had a good bond with her previous mother-in-law and hopes she can surpass her. Pratima starts applying the mehendi. Kusum feels hurt and quietly moves aside. Sudesh follows her, but Kusum wipes her tears and gestures that she is fine.
Chinta then tells Mangal that she wants to give her something. She shows the ancestral necklace, saying it is made of 50 grams of gold, and praises its value. She asks Mangal to remove her current jewellery. Bijli helps Mangal remove it. Chinta puts earrings on Mangal and then tries to fasten the necklace, but it doesn’t fit. She comments that it looks like this necklace isn’t meant for Mangal. Just then, Kapil steps in, adjusts the necklace around Mangal’s neck, and says it suits her perfectly, proving that it was indeed meant for her. Chinta gets upset, while Pratima smiles. Kapil adds that everything looks good on Mangal as she is the best, leaving Mangal and her family delighted.
As Pratima continues applying mehendi to Mangal, Chinta Bua thinks of executing her plan. She slips, and Kusum helps her. Meanwhile, Bijli disturbs Mangal as per Chinta Bua plan, making her move. The mehendi artist asks Mangal to stay still, but Mangal complains that something is troubling her back. Chinta Bua remarks that maybe Mangal isn’t used to wearing such heavy jewellery. She instructs Bijli to make Mangal wear her previous set instead and tells Mangal to keep the ancestral necklace safe. Bijli agrees, replaces the jewellery, and places the ancestral set nearby. Kusum and Pratima feel bad witnessing Chinta Bua’s treatment towards Mangal.
Later, the anchor announces a fun game between the bride and groom’s families. He explains that a spotlight will select pairs who will then perform, and the best pair will win the first prize. Lipika and Ishana perform first. The anchor then calls for the groom’s side. Chinta Bua eagerly volunteers to perform with Pratima. Chinta Bua performs with Pratima and teases the bride’s family. Shanti doesn’t like it. Mangal asks Shanti not to take it to heart and consider it just fun, but Shanti says Chinta Bua is crossing her limits.
Later, Mangal asks the mehendi artist if the mehendi is complete. The artist agrees. Just then, Mangal notices Sudesh coughing and asks if he is fine. He says he is fine. She asks if he has taken his night medicine. Sudesh replies that he forgot. Mangal insists that he needs it and says she will call the chemist to deliver the medicine since it is important for him.
Mangal tries calling the chemist but he says that medicine is unavailable with them. Sudesh asks Mangal to not worry about my medicine and finish the Mehendi ritual. Mangal then calls Adit and requests him to bring Sudesh’s medicine to the function venue. Adit says, “You know I can’t come there.” Mangal convinces him, saying he doesn’t need to come inside and can just call her after getting the medicine, and she will come outside to collect it. Adit finally agrees. Mangal thanks him. Mangal asks Sudesh to tell her if he wants anything. Sudesh says ok and asks her to join others in the function.
