The episode starts with Mangal, who is on her way to the beautician in her car, noticing that it’s raining heavily. She recalls Kusum’s words asking her to give Adit another chance for the sake of her children and to call off her wedding with Kapil.
Meanwhile, Kapil takes things out of his cupboard. Pratima comes there and asks what he is doing. Kapil says he’s clearing space so that Mangal can use it after their marriage. He says they need to leave soon. Pratima says there’s still time and makes him wear the pagdi. She says she’s excited as he’s finally getting married and adds that once Mangal becomes his, her kids won’t be around to disturb them. Kapil thinks of telling her that the kids will stay with them after the marriage. He says, “Mom, I want to tell you something,” but just then, Chinta Bua arrives and asks what they are talking about. Chinta Bua gifts a haar to Kapil and blesses him for a happy life. They hear thunder, and she comments that the weather isn’t good. Kapil decides to tell Pratima that Mangal and her kids will be living with them after the marriage.
Due to the wind, a photo of Mangal and Adit is about to fall, but Adit catches it in time. Kusum comes there and asks what he wants for dinner. Adit says he’ll manage and asks her to attend Mangal’s wedding before leaving. Kusum wonders if Mangal is really getting married today. Shanti calls Kusum and asks her to come to the mandap on time for Mangal’s wedding.
At the parlour, the beautician tries to set Mangal’s hair and apply foundation, but Mangal refuses. They insist, but just then, the beautician receives a message from Chinta Bua and causes a power cut in the parlour. The beautician asks Mangal to wait until the power returns. Shanti asks Lipika to call Mangal and check when she’s coming. Lipika calls Mangal, who says there’s a power cut at the parlour. Lipika tells her the baarat has started, so she should come soon. Mangal agrees. The beautician looks on suspiciously. The baarat arrives. Shanti wonders what to do, and Lipika says they should welcome them as the bride usually takes time to get ready.
Shanti and her family welcome the groom and his family. Chinta Bua thinks to herself that she won’t let this marriage happen. Shanti asks Lipika to light the aarti to welcome the groom. Chinta Bua says Kapil must be excited to meet Mangal and suggests calling her. Shanti says it’s against their customs, but Chinta Bua argues that no one follows such traditions anymore and asks Lipika to call Mangal.
Mangal says she doesn’t know when the power will return and decides to leave. The beautician sprays something that makes Mangal sneeze and asks her to sit. Kapil tells Shanti that he will meet Mangal only at the mandap, so she shouldn’t worry. She agrees and welcomes him. Chinta Bua smirks, thinking it will be interesting to see how Shanti manages since Mangal is still in the parlour. She calls the beautician and instructs her to lock Mangal inside the parlour and not let her reach the mandap.
Akshat overhears her and gets worried for Mangal. He calls her, but the beauticians have kept Mangal’s phone on silent and distract her to prevent her from leaving. They then leave the parlour, locking Mangal inside.
Akshat cries when Mangal doesn’t answer his calls. He decides to inform Kapil about Chinta Bua’s plan to lock Mangal in the beauty parlour. He goes to Kapil but finds him busy with guests. Akshat then sees Kusum and Sudesh arriving and runs toward them but accidentally bumps into Chinta Bua. Kusum holds Chinta Bua on time. She asks Chinta Bua if she is fine. Chinta Bua scolds Akshat and raises her hand at him. Kusum comes in between and says Akshat is kid and he did it unintentionally so please forgive him. Chinta Bua leaves. Kusum asks Akshat why he looks tensed. Akshat says mom and couldn’t tell it completely. Mangal opens her eyes and sees beauty parlour is closed. She bangs on the doors to open it.
