The episode starts with Karthik beginning to sing but stopping midway. The audience calls him unprofessional. Hearing his voice, Lakshmi goes to check if it’s Karthik. She reaches there and sees another singer performing and wonders why Karthik would be here.
Karthik is about to leave the event when a sudden blast occurs, leading to a gas leak. The guests panic. Karthik and Lakshmi help several people and send them outside. They cover their faces with cloth. Lakshmi is about to leave but notices someone still inside — it’s Karthik, who has fallen unconscious, though she doesn’t realize it’s him. She saves him and takes the unconscious Karthik out.
Lakshmi pleads for help to take him to the hospital, but no one stops their car. Karan calls Lakshmi and orders her to come to the office immediately, warning that she’ll be terminated otherwise. She cuts the call and tries to contact an ambulance, but the line doesn’t connect. She then requests a sanitary worker to tie Karthik to her bicycle, and she takes him to the hospital herself.
Karan scolds Shankar for giving Lakshmi the building keys and complains about how he now can’t proceed with an important meeting. Meanwhile, Lakshmi faints after reaching the hospital. The nurses rush both her and Karthik inside. The doctor examines Lakshmi and prescribes her some medicine. Lakshmi asks about the man she brought in. The doctor tells her that she brought him just in time and that he’s safe. He advises her to eat something, but Lakshmi refuses, saying she’s observing Karwa Chauth. The doctor smiles and says, “It seems that man’s wife also observed the fast — that’s why he survived.”
As Lakshmi prepares to leave the hospital, the nurse gives her Karthik’s phone. Gayatri calls on it. Lakshmi answers, but the phone switches off. She asks the nurse to charge it. When she sees the moon outside, she decides to break her fast in the hospital itself. She prays to Maa Durga to keep Karthik safe.
Karthik regains consciousness and learns from the nurse that a lady brought him to the hospital and saved his life. He says he wants to meet her and goes out looking for her. The nurse informs him that his phone is ringing. Karthik answers his father’s call and assures him that he’s fine.
Meanwhile, Lakshmi sees Karthik’s photo on her phone and breaks her Karwa Chauth fast. Karthik looks for the girl who saved him but doesn’t notice Lakshmi, who is standing right beside him. He drinks water before Maa Durga’s idol and leaves. Lakshmi then drinks the remaining half of the water. Maa Durga’s chunri falls on her as a blessing. Lakshmi smiles emotionally, feeling grateful.
She receives a call from Shankar, who tells her it’s an emergency. Lakshmi says she’s coming and later reaches the office. Karan scolds her for cutting his call and yells at her for taking the conference room key, saying he was humiliated in front of the investors. Lakshmi calmly replies that the keys are in his pocket. Karan checks and is shocked to find them there.
