The episode starts with Kapil telling Mangal that she’s right and it’s better if they don’t get married. He says, despite staying together for so long, they failed to understand each other, so it’s good they didn’t marry. He removes his turban and throws it on the floor. Akshat comes to Mangal and asks if she’s fine. Mangal says she’s fine and hugs her kids. She asks Akshat not to cry and says, “Let’s go home.” He agrees, and Mangal leaves the mandap with her kids.
At home, Kusum asks Mangal to change her dress and take rest. She says, “You made a big decision today for your children.” Mangal goes inside with her kids. Kusum goes to the mandir and lights a diya. Adit sees Mangal at home and wonders why she’s there when today was her wedding. Kusum tells Sudesh that Mangal proved she belongs to their family by breaking her marriage with Kapil. Adit is shocked to hear this.
Mangal makes Akshat sleep and notices Ishana crying under the blanket. Ishana says she’ll be back and goes to the washroom. While removing her jewelry, Mangal recalls Chinta Bua’s accusations and everything that happened at the mandap. In his sleep, Akshat says, “Don’t leave us alone, Mom. They’re so bad,” and is about to fall off the bed. Adit catches him just in time. Mangal asks Akshat to sleep peacefully, assuring him she’s there.
Later, Adit tells Mangal, “I warned you not to marry Kapil, but you didn’t listen. Now, our kids are suffering because of your decisions. Please stop making wrong choices and stay here so we can live peacefully.” He leaves. Mangal cries, holding her kids’ photo frame.
Sudesh wakes up and questions Kusum about what she’s doing. Kusum says, “I’m preparing a shagun thali for Mangal. I’m glad she broke off her marriage with Kapil and is ready to give Adit another chance. Sowmya has left his life, and Adit regrets his mistakes. Their reunion will be perfect.” Sudesh asks her to talk to Mangal once, but Kusum says, “Mangal always listens to me. Tomorrow, I’ll give her this suhagan thali, and with Mata Rani’s blessings, everything will be fine again.”
The next day, Kusum comes out and sees Mangal with her luggage. Kusum says, “Let’s arrange your belongings in the cupboard.” Mangal stops her. Kusum asks if she’s going out with the kids and says, “That’s good. Sudesh and I will also join you—tell me how many days so we can pack.” Adit comes out and asks Mangal for coffee but gets hit by a suitcase. He asks who left it in the middle of the hall. Kusum tells Adit they’re going on a picnic and he should join too. Mangal says, “Not everyone. I’m leaving.”
Kusum says, “I know what you’re feeling and the right you think you have to stay here, but I’ll clear everything. You’ll live here as Adit’s wife.” She shows the shagun thali and hands Adit the nuptial chain, asking him to put it around Mangal’s neck. “Forget the past and give your relationship another chance,” she says. Adit and Mangal exchange glances. Mangal says, “This isn’t right. I can’t wear this mangalsutra.” Kusum asks, “Are you still angry with Adit? You broke off your marriage with Kapil, didn’t you?” Mangal replies, “I didn’t end that marriage to give Adit another chance. Would you say the same if Sowmya were still here? I just want to leave this house with my kids and start a new life.” Kusum is shocked and drops the suhagan thali.
