The episode starts with Padma asking Anjali not to trust Kali’s tears and to avoid going to the engagement party at the Rajput house. Anjali says she needs to find her husband’s murderer and that it’s her only goal. She leaves with Pankaj. Padma prays to God to protect Anjali and Aarti’s relationship. She then calls Ganesh and informs him that Anjali is coming to the party. Ganesh asks if she tried to stop her. Padma says no, adding that Anjali isn’t coming as a mother but as a lawyer—and ACP Pankaj is accompanying her.
At the party, Sadhika announces that the celebration is for two reasons: Diwali and the engagement of Ved and Aarti. She says Ved’s family is also present and welcomes them. Raghav asks Aarti and Ved to exchange rings, and they happily take the rings to do so. Just then, ACP Pankaj and Anjali arrive. Pankaj asks them to stop the engagement. The Rajput family wonders why they’re there and what their intentions are. Gaurav says the security tried to stop Anjali, but he told them that she’s family and let her in. Abhay asks Anjali why she came. Anjali replies that this engagement can’t take place. Aarti asks her mother why she’s stopping it.
Anjali says Ved’s case is still in court, and until it’s proven that Ved was never married to Kali, he cannot get engaged to Aarti. She adds that she has come there for another reason as well. Pankaj asks a constable to bring Ravi inside. When Ravi arrives, Raghav and others question his presence. Sadhika accuses Anjali of coming to ruin Aarti’s life. Everyone questions Anjali, but she asks them to remain silent, saying Ved’s case is in court and they can’t commit a criminal offence. Ganesh asks Anjali to leave, saying this is his granddaughter’s engagement. Anjali replies that Aarti is her daughter too. Ganesh says Anjali never gave Aarti anything, as she was in a vegetative state after giving birth to her, and that Aarti is his daughter and granddaughter.
Aarti and Ved plead with Anjali to leave, saying they love each other. Ganesh praises Raghav for uniting two lovers. Sadhika calls Anjali a witch for ruining her own daughter’s life. Yuvraj gets shocked seeing Ravi and tries to avoid being identified. He asks Mehek to send Anjali out. Mehek pleads with Anjali to leave, saying she can come as Aarti’s mother but not as a lawyer. Gaurav says Anjali will not leave because she is a devotee of law and will always stand for justice. Pankaj declares that the engagement will not happen. Ganesh insists it will, warning Anjali that if it doesn’t, she will see his dead face. Anjali says no threat can stop her. Aarti calls Anjali her enemy. Pankaj says he will arrest Ved and Aarti if they proceed with the engagement, as it would be against the law.
Aarti accuses Anjali of caring more about law than about her love for Ved and declares that from now on, Anjali is her enemy, not her mother. The Rajput family asks Anjali and the police to leave. Pankaj and Anjali reveal they came to find Aman’s murderer. Anjali says Ravi was the driver responsible for the accident that injured her and killed Aman, and he is here to identify the person who paid him to commit the crime 21 years ago. Raghav asks if they have a warrant. The ACP confirms they do and asks Ravi to identify the person who gave him the money. Ravi looks around nervously as Yuvraj hides from him.

Precap: Ravi tells Anjali that the person who gave him the money isn’t present at the party. Later, Anjali asks Gaurav for the party footage. Mehek questions Yuvraj about what he was doing on the terrace when the party was happening in the hall.
