The episode starts with Maddy entering Karthik’s room and asking, “Why aren’t you ready yet? Karan will be angry if he finds out.” Karan calls Maddy and asks if Karthik is ready. Maddy says no and asks Karan to speak to him directly. Karan tells Karthik, “Get ready to get engaged to Barkha, or your father’s life will be in danger if I stop the money. Don’t forget our deal.” Karthik replies, “I’ll get ready, but do you think Barkha will be happy with this forced marriage?” Karan says, “My sister will be happy. So, get ready.” Karthik goes to get dressed.
Karan feels pleased and instructs the decorators to make the engagement look grand for his sister. Dadi says, “Karan is scolding everyone for his sister’s sake.” Karan smiles and says, “I love my baby sister.” Dadi tells him to think about settling down and marrying a good girl. Karan replies, “I hate marriage. It will never happen.” Dadi wishes that he falls in love someday. Karan insists it’s impossible and leaves. Vyom agrees with Karan, saying it’s hard to handle one woman all the time. Dadi rebukes him.
Swetha notices posters of Karthik and Barkha and realizes that Barkha’s fiancé is the new singer. She calls Lakshmi to share the news, but Lakshmi doesn’t answer. Meanwhile, Lakshmi urges the auto driver to hurry to the venue, but they get stuck in traffic. She worries, “I need to reach on time with the ring, or Barkha will murder me.”
At the venue, Barkha anxiously waits for Karthik. Karan tells her not to worry, assuring her that Karthik will come. Just then, Karthik and Maddy arrive. Dadi announces Karthik’s arrival, and Barkha smiles happily. Karthik steps onto the stage. Barkha says playfully, “It’s wrong to make your would-be wife wait this long,” and blushes.
The anchor announces that a fairytale engagement is about to take place. Barkha takes the mic and says, “I never believed in love until I met Karthik. We’re going to be a perfect couple.” She thanks Karan for uniting her with Karthik and calls him the best brother. Vyom looks displeased and mutters that Barkha will realize his value once her stepbrother Karan betrays her. Bhabani stops him.
The anchor asks for the rings to begin the ceremony. Lakshmi rushes into the venue upon hearing the announcement. She tries to call a server to deliver the rings, but no one responds, so she decides to take them to the stage herself. Barkha notices Lakshmi bringing the rings and says, “Here they are!” Suddenly, the power goes off. Lakshmi doesn’t see Karthik. Karan orders his team to switch on the generator. Dadi insists the engagement must happen on time. Lakshmi hands the rings to Barkha. Barkha tells Karthik, “Let’s get engaged right on time.” She announces that the rings are here and insists they exchange them before the auspicious time passes. Karthik agrees.
In the dark, Karthik accidentally puts the ring on Lakshmi’s finger. When the lights come back on, he’s shocked to see it’s her. Lakshmi and Karthik share an emotional moment, recalling their past.
Barkha’s mother reminds her that Karthik placed the ring on Lakshmi’s finger. Barkha takes back the ring from Lakshmi and angrily asks her to leave. Lakshmi walks away, emotional. Karan notices Lakshmi’s reaction and wonders why she looks so shocked. He follows her.
Lakshmi sits alone, emotional, thinking about Karthik’s engagement. Karan sits beside her and says, “I didn’t do anything to make you cry. Who did?” Lakshmi says she isn’t feeling well and tries to leave. Karan teases her, saying she’s being unprofessional for leaving when her boss is getting engaged. He warns her, “Come with me, or you’ll lose your job,” and drags her back to the venue.
Dadi reminds Karan that everyone is waiting for him on stage. Karan agrees and joins them. He asks Karthik to continue with the engagement ceremony. Karthik looks at Lakshmi while putting the ring on Barkha’s finger. Swetha notices and tells Lakshmi, “Karthik’s attention isn’t on Barkha but somewhere else. What do you think?” Lakshmi tells her to drop the topic. Barkha then puts the ring on Karthik’s finger, completing the ceremony.
