..The episode opens with Sagar gently informing his daughter, Mannu, that their long-awaited trip to Vaishno Devi will have to be cancelled once again. Hearing this, Mannu becomes heartbroken and refuses to return home. She pleads with her mother to perform some miracle that would allow them to visit the holy shrine. Initially, she believes her father is simply teasing her, but when she realises he is serious, her disappointment deepens.
Meanwhile, Bairagi rejoices over his recent success and the admiration he receives from Kamal and Vimal, who praise him for his cleverness. Feeling proud, Bairagi boasts to his wife about how he managed to deceive the entire village by creating a fake earthquake. To prove his trick, he even demonstrates the method, leaving everyone astonished and revealing the extent of his deceitful schemes.
Back in Sagar’s family, Mannu demands to know why the pilgrimage has been cancelled. Sagar explains that the village is facing a severe water shortage, which makes travel impossible. However, Mannu refuses to accept any excuses. Determined to go to Vaishno Devi at any cost, she sets out on her own. Alarmed, Sagar and his wife Anandi chase after her, trying to stop their young daughter from running away. When Sagar’s uncle learns about Bairagi’s fraud and its consequences for the villagers, he feels deeply saddened and angry at how selfishly Bairagi has acted for his personal benefit.
As Mannu runs along the road, an auto rickshaw suddenly speeds toward her, and she narrowly escapes a terrible accident—an event she believes was prevented by the divine blessings of Mata Rani. Sagar and Anandi quickly grab her and bring her home, despite her protests. Mannu feels crushed that she has been stopped from fulfilling her wish to thank Mata Rani personally. She tearfully reminds her father that she had scored excellent marks in her exams and that he had promised to visit the temple in gratitude. Yet Sagar, burdened by circumstances, feels helpless and unable to fulfil his daughter’s devotion.
At the same time, Ramdoot, Mannu’s friend, is also forbidden by his father from interacting with Mannu’s family. Feeling lonely and rejected, Mannu decides to seek solace at the nearby temple. But when she arrives, the villagers block her path, refusing to let her enter. They are angry with Mannu’s family because they did not donate land for the temple’s construction. Despite her repeated pleas, the villagers remain unmoved. Anandi also begs them to let her daughter pray, but her words fall on deaf ears.
Heartbroken yet unshaken, Mannu insists that Mata Rani loves her and would never turn her away. Just then, Bairagi’s men arrive and violently order Sagar’s family to leave the village, forcing them to confront the cruelty and superstition that have overtaken their community.
