The episode starts with Karan introducing Lakshmi as his wife to his family. Dadi praises Karan’s decision to marry Lakshmi and asks the dhol players to play. She happily dances to the beats of the dhol.
Vyom asks Bhavani if Lakshmi will really become their daughter-in-law now and urges her to dance too.
Karthik gets upset and asks the dhol players to stop. Karan asks Karthik what happened, saying he looks as if Karan has done something wrong. Karthik replies that Karan made a mistake by not informing them earlier—if he had, Karthik would have celebrated his wedding. Karthik then plays the dhol in celebration and congratulates Karan and Lakshmi.
The Pandit says it’s getting late for the auspicious time. Karan apologizes to everyone. Dadi says that now they should perform Lakshmi’s Griha Pravesh ritual.
Dadi performs aarti for Lakshmi, and Lakshmi steps into the house, completing the ritual.
The Pandit announces that the pooja is complete and asks Karan and Lakshmi to apply tika to Karthik. They do so, and then to Barkha as well.
The Pandit says they will now fix the wedding date for Karthik and Barkha. Karthik tells Barkha he has some work to attend to and asks her to finalize the date before leaving. Barkha, feeling hurt, asks Karan if he really needed to marry today, as it was supposed to be her special day when her wedding date was to be fixed. Karan reminds her that Karthik already said they could fix the date and assures her not to worry.
Bhavani criticizes Karan for marrying Lakshmi, saying he has ruined his life by marrying a poor girl. Dadi rebukes Bhavani, saying, “Don’t forget, it’s only by God’s grace that your marriage happened—so don’t speak ill of Lakshmi.” Barkha adds, “Lakshmi works under me. How could you marry your employee?”
Karan replies, “Karthik is also our employee, yet I never questioned your choice. So why aren’t you respecting mine? Lakshmi is my wife, and that’s final.” Dadi supports Karan, telling Lakshmi, “You have my full support.” Dadi then asks them to go and rest.
Karan and Lakshmi enter their room. Lakshmi says there’s no need to act now as no one is around. She calls him a shaitan for playing with her life and says she can never accept him as her husband. Karan replies that he can never be her friend either and says she knows why she’s doing this.
Lakshmi reminds him that he blackmailed her by showing a video of her father-in-law Umesh and threatened to harm him. “That’s why I agreed—to save him,” she says. Karan admits, “Yes, I’m a monster, but to the world, I’m your husband now. Keep your mouth shut, or your father-in-law will die.” He leaves.
Lakshmi throws things in anger and breaks down crying. Suddenly, the lights start flickering. She asks, “Who’s there?” and turns them on—only to find Barkha standing in front of her. Barkha grabs Lakshmi by the neck and yells, “How dare you trap my brother? I won’t spare you!” Lakshmi pushes her away and says, “I’m not your employee anymore, so stay within your limits.”
Dadi arrives and asks both of them to calm down. She tells Barkha to take Lakshmi’s blessings. Barkha refuses and storms off. Dadi tells Lakshmi, “My grandchildren’s behavior may be harsh, but they’re good at heart. I trust you will turn the thorns in your path into flowers.” Lakshmi hugs her. Dadi assures her, “I’m with you. Don’t worry—Karan loves you very much.” She asks Lakshmi to get ready and come downstairs. Lakshmi thinks, How do I tell you, Dadi, that this marriage happened by force?

Precap: Karthik applies turmeric to Lakshmi’s burnt hand in the kitchen and says there’s still a bond between them—that’s why he applied turmeric to her wound. He tells Lakshmi, “I’m not like you, who ran away.” Karthik demands an answer from her, and Karan witnesses the moment.
