The episode starts with Mangal asking Kusum how Neel managed to get so much gold and if he stole the jewellery. Kusum defends Neel, saying she herself gave him the jewellery. Adit asks Kusum why she gave it to him. Mangal accuses Kusum of lying to protect Neel from being arrested and says she knows Kusum would never give away her wedding jewellery. Neel leaves. Kusum tells Mangal to stop accusing Neel, but Mangal insists that if they ignore his small mistakes now, he may commit a bigger crime later. Kusum says Mangal is treating Neel like a step-son instead of her own and not trusting her word. She asks Mangal to stop differentiating between the children and to show Neel motherly love. Mangal tries to speak, but Kusum walks away. Sowmya and Neel smirk. Mangal thinks about how she should guide her son Neel on the right path.
Mangal asks Ishana if she is fine. Ishana says she is better after taking her medication. Mangal then spots the medicines in the dustbin and questions her again. Ishana lies and says she is fine. Mangal wonders why Ishana lied about the medicine. After Mangal leaves, Ishana receives a call and tells her friend that they are not leaving for Mussoorie anytime soon. Mangal thinks Ishana is faking her injury out of jealousy because she fears Neel might stay there and replace her place in the family.
Later, while folding clothes, Mangal says she dislikes Ishana’s jealous behaviour. Shanti says that if Ishana and Neel stay under one roof, they will keep fighting, and suggests Mangal leave for Mussoorie with Ishana and Akshat. Mangal says it is not a good idea now because Ishana may feel Neel is getting more love, and her mental condition is already fragile. She decides to let Ishana stay. Shanti asks what will happen to her Mussoorie dhaba. Mangal says she will work here for now and her priority is helping her children overcome their problems. Shanti praises her. Neel enters. Shanti blesses him, but while leaving, Neel deliberately drops the chair on Shanti’s foot. Shanti scolds him. Mangal asks Neel to come with her to Mussoorie to get the luggage and meet his mother. Shanti taunts Neel, and he angrily leaves. Shanti tells Mangal that Adit left her, but now Neel will trouble her with his behaviour.
Adit’s car breaks down. The mechanic is unavailable, and he fails to book a cab. He worries as he is getting late for a meeting. Neel arrives and offers help. He fixes the car, and Adit hugs him, saying he is impressed. He shares that he once wanted to become a mechanical engineer. Neel thanks Sowmya later for informing him that Adit needed help, saying it was the first time his father hugged him. Sowmya decides to bring Neel closer to Adit so he moves away from Mangal.
Sowmya is busy with her online meeting. Kusum asks her to eat, but Sowmya says she is working to support the household and Adit. Mangal then gives an envelope of money for her children’s expenses. Sowmya says she didn’t mean anything wrong. Mangal explains she sold her Mussoorie dhaba and will take full responsibility for her children. She also says she is looking for a nearby house and will shift once she finds one. Kusum questions whether she is separating them again. Mangal says they will still live in the same colony and meet often. She insists her decision is final. Sowmya thinks Mangal will end up leaving alone, without her children.

Precap: Sowmya decides to use Neel to take her revenge on Mangal. She sees that Neel has thrown things around the couch and pretends to fall after stepping on them.
Sowmya is admitted to the hospital. Adit asks Mangal and Kusum who placed the items there. Neel tries to speak up, but Mangal stops him and takes the blame herself. Adit accuses Mangal of doing it intentionally and warns that if anything happens to his baby, he will not spare her.
