The episode starts with Mangal counting money for Neel’s fees. She thinks the amount is not enough and decides she must win the Pehla Swad competition to pay Neel’s school fees, as she does not want anyone’s help. She keeps the money in a locker inside the cupboard. The robbers observe her.
Meanwhile, Ishana’s friends tell her that Neel is her cousin and ask her to see how he is playing with papers. Sowmya goes to Neel and asks him not to embarrass her in front of her friends, then leaves. Neel recalls how Mangal forced him to join the school.
Mangal locks the cupboard. She notices the goons and tries to shout for help, but one of them catches her. They start trying to open the locker. Neel, wanting to trouble the school staff, burns some papers in the dustbin and places it near the fire alarm. The alarm rings. The watchman rushes in, puts out the fire, and wonders how it started.
Mangal fights back, but a goon holds her at knifepoint. Neel scares the students and sends them home. Ishana confronts him, saying she knows he caused the fire and that her mother is working hard to educate him, but he is doing goondagiri. Neel threatens her to stay away or he will teach her and her mother a lesson.
Kusum arrives at Mangal’s house to give sweets and is shocked to see the goons. She attacks them. Mangal joins her, and the robbers apologise, saying they will leave, but they grab Kusum. Mangal protests. The goons push her; her head hits the table, and she falls unconscious. The robbers escape with the money. Ishana arrives and sees Mangal injured. Kusum asks her to call the doctor.
The robbers meet Sowmya and inform her that they have done her work—Mangal is badly injured and cannot compete for now. Sowmya gives them extra money for hurting Mangal. Later, she arrives at Mangal’s house. The doctor checks Mangal and says she must regain consciousness soon, or they need to shift her to the hospital. Mangal wakes up. Kusum tells her that living separately with the kids was a wrong decision. Sowmya says this is not the time for such discussions. The doctor advises Mangal to remain under observation for 72 hours. Sowmya mentions that tomorrow is the first round of the competition. Kusum tells Mangal not to compete and asks Ishana to withdraw her name.
Mangal files a police complaint. The inspector says the area is safe, and it seems someone intentionally planned the attack. Mangal says she has no enemies. He assures her they will catch the thieves. Sowmya asks Kusum to bless her before she leaves for the Pehla Swad competition. Kusum blesses her. The police arrive at Kusum’s house to enquire about the robbery. Sowmya gets scared, hoping they do not find any clue against her.
Mangal checks the time and says she has to leave for the competition. Ishana tells her she is not in a condition to participate. The inspector tells Kusum that someone close to Mangal hired the thieves. Sowmya looks on.
