The episode opens with Khushi stepping into Baldev’s house, only to be met with Queenie’s cruel plotting right from the beginning. Wanting to test and humiliate her, Queenie secretly scatters sharp nails inside the bowl meant for a welcoming ritual—where Khushi is expected to place her feet. The moment Khushi sets one foot into the bowl, she instantly senses Queenie’s malicious intention. Yet, despite realizing the trap, she chooses to remain silent, thinking about the dignity and wellbeing of her own father. Holding back her pain, she quietly walks away on her injured foot. Queenie and Anushka exchange a look, realizing that Khushi is not as weak or submissive as they had assumed; she has a strong spirit and an ability to endure without complaint.
Later, another ritual begins where Krishna and Khushi are told to feed each other the same pastry. Khushi feels uncomfortable sharing the bite, but once again, she keeps her emotions hidden. Reluctantly, she leans forward and takes a bite from Krishna’s hand, forcing herself to follow the family’s expectations.
Queenie, however, is still not satisfied and wants to push Khushi further. She introduces another so-called test: she asks Khushi to apply sindoor on her forehead, explaining that this is a part of Hindu custom. The situation becomes more awkward when Krishna is instructed to place the sindoor on Khushi himself. Khushi feels deeply embarrassed, but she has no choice except to stand silently while Krishna pretends to follow the ritual.
Watching everything, Nandita feels genuine sympathy for Khushi. She knows the girl is facing unnecessary trouble from the moment she arrived. To cover up the situation earlier, he had impulsively told everyone that Khushi was an orphan, believing that was the only way to handle the moment. Though the lie helped him navigate the ritual, it left Khushi feeling insulted. Seeing her hurt, Krishna tends to her wounded foot himself, applying first aid with care. He then reassures her that he hadn’t actually applied sindoor—he had only pretended.
Khushi feels confused and anxious about the consequences of this ongoing drama. Krishna gently tries to calm her worries, promising that he will manage everything and ensure she leaves the house safely, without further harm.
