The episode begins with Indumati asking Dritimaan why he left them. Dritimaan tells her that they will understand him after listening to him. Dadabhai says Dritimaan did not fulfill his son’s duty and left Sanjhbati too. And Sanjhbati still loves Dritimaan; that’s why she did not marry anyone else. He tells Dritimaan that the latter ruined everything. He scolds Dritimaan for being selfish. He asks why Dritimaan returned after these many years. Neelu asks Dadabhai to give Dritimaan a chance to explain.
Putul tells Dritimaan that their life has been changed after he left. Dritimaan says maybe they will understand him after learning his truth. Rishi asks Dritimaan why the latter brought Sanjhbati inside. Dritimaan says Sanjhbati is also his family. Sanjhbati asks him to stop his acting. Jhanak requests Sanjhbati to listen to what Dritimaan wants to say.
Mishti says servants should go to the guest room to take care of guests. Servants leave from there. Mishti asks why Jhanak did not leave. Rishi orders Mishti to stop that. Arshi asks Jhanak why the latter is not going. Aditi tells Arshi that it’s fine. She tells Jhanak that everyone is emotional due to Dritimaan’s return. She asks Jhanak to stay there if the latter wants to. Because Jhanak is like a family member. Aniruddh tells Aditi that she is giving so much importance to Jhanak unnecessarily.
Rishi introduces Aditi and her family to Dritimaan. Then he introduces Jhanak to Dritimaan. Dritimaan asks why Aditi’s family questioned him. Arshi tells him that they are high-class people, not middle-class like his family. And everyone asks them about Dritimaan because he is Aditi’s brother-in-law. Dritimaan says it’s unbelievable that people want to know what Aditi’s brother-in-law is doing.
Surjeet asks Dritimaan to leave that and say what the latter wants to say. And why Dritimaan stopped contacting them. Abhimanyu says Dritimaan should have shared everything with his family. Tanushri tells Dritimaan that they did not have answers for any questions. Dritimaan says he understands they suffered so much because of him. And he came to explain why he left. He apologized to Sanjhbati for hurting her. He says he knows he ruined Sanjhbati’s life. He gives his medical report to her.
Sanjhbati asks him what this is and cries. Dritimaan tells her that that’s an old report and he is fine now. Sanjhbati asks him why he did not tell about this earlier. And whether he thought she would leave him after learning about his disease. Dritimaan tells her that he is not sure he will survive. And how can he ruin Sanjhbati’s life when he loved her?
Rishi asks Dritimaan what the disease is. Sanjhbati says this disease doesn’t have any cure. Indumati asks Dritimaan whether he came to see them one last time. Jhanak asks Indumati not to worry because Dritimaan said he is fine now. Dritimaan says Jhanak is right. He tells them he did not want to be selfish; that’s why he left. He asks Sanjhbati whether she will give him one more chance. He tells her that he wants to marry her. Everyone gets happy hearing this.
Rishi says Sanjhbati will agree and marriage will happen. Jhanak says God returned all the happiness to Sanjhbati. Dadabhai says Jhanak is really lucky to have this house. Dritimaan asks about Jhanak. Putul tells him that Jhanak is studying in medical college. And Jhanak doesn’t have a place to stay, so she is staying there. She says she is sure Dritimaan will like Jhanak. Dritimaan says it’s good a mature girl like Jhanak is staying in the house. Arshi tells him that he doesn’t know much about Jhanak yet. Neelu says Dritimaan should know the complete truth of Jhanak. Rishi asks her to stop it. Neelu tells Dritimaan that Jhanak forcefully married Rishi with her villagers’ help. Sanjhbati tells Dritimaan that she will explain everything later.
Indumati asks Dritimaan why he did not tell them anything and cries. Dritimaan asks her not to cry. Sanjhbati tells Dritimaan that he will be punished definitely. And she decided to not marry Dritimaan. Everyone gets shocked hearing this. Sanjhbati tells Dritimaan that she doesn’t want to talk to him. She tries to leave from there. But Jhanak stops Sanjhbati. Dritimaan tells Sanjhbati that she can punish him and he will accept it. Aditi asks Sanjhbati not to leave like this. She says Dadabhai and Indumati’s celebration has not happened yet. Everyone asks Sanjhbati to agree to marry Dritimaan.
Indumati says Dritimaan returned because he promised Sanjhbati, and if Sanjhbati left him, then he won’t be able to survive. Dritimaan asks Sanjhbati to punish him but not leave him. Aditi tells Rishi that finally everything is going well in their family. Rishi thinks he loves Jhanak, but he can’t say this loudly. Jhanak thinks she is happy because Rishi is happy. But she is not this family member, so she doesn’t have rights to his happiness.
On the other side, Sanjhbati’s mother gets worried that Sanjhbati may get hurt because she went to Dritimaan’s house. She says Sanjhbati still loves Dritimaan. Her friend says Sanjhbati loves Dritimaan truly. But can’t say anything about Dritimaan. He says society always judged them, so they should not judge Dritimaan. She asks him why he is defending Dritimaan. He tells her that they should listen to Dritimaan’s side story—that’s it. She tells him that her daughter is an emotional fool. She picks up Sanjhbati’s call and puts the phone on speaker. She asks Sanjhbati what happened.
Sanjhbati tells her mother that Dritimaan returned. She tells everything to her mother. Sanjhbati’s mother asks her daughter to not trust Dritimaan. Sanjhbati tells her mother that she trusts Dritimaan and she will marry him. Sanjhbati’s mother tells her daughter to do whatever the latter wants. And she disconnects the call. She cries. Her friend asks her to trust Sanjhbati’s decision.
Later, Aditi gives her jewel to Mishti and tells her to hide it. She says this is Arshi’s idea, and this plan will help them to throw Jhanak out of their life. Because she will send Jhanak to this room. Mishti praises the plan and leaves from there. Aditi thinks Jhanak will be out of her life permanently.
