The episode opens with Anushka, who has secretly stolen Khushi’s mangalsutra and handed it over to her aunt, Queenie. Both of them know very well how strict Nandita is about the significance of a mangalsutra, and they are aware that Khushi had been warned never to remove it under any circumstances. Since Khushi and Krishna are not truly married, Khushi does not feel obligated to wear it constantly, but Queenie sees this as the perfect opportunity to disgrace her. With fresh determination, she decides to use this incident to expose Khushi and Krishna’s fake relationship and vows to unmask them publicly.
Elsewhere, Nandita instructs her husband Baldev to wear a jacket over his simple kurta. Baldev is touched by her concern and finds her loving attention surprising even after so many years of marriage. Nandita expresses pride in the mangalsutra Baldev had once given her and cherishes its traditional importance. With that affectionate mood, she walks toward Khushi’s room with the intention of helping her get ready.
Meanwhile, Queenie hides Khushi’s stolen mangalsutra inside her private locker, ensuring that no one can find it. She eagerly anticipates the moment when Khushi will be caught without it. Queenie is still burning with anger from Krishna’s harsh words the previous day, and she plans to take revenge by humiliating Khushi as much as she can.
As expected, Khushi panics when she is unable to locate her mangalsutra, which she clearly remembers placing on the dining table. Krishna initially dismisses her worry and suggests she simply make an excuse to Nandita if the situation arises. But Khushi, frightened and emotional, insists that he must help her find it. They search every corner of the room, turning everything upside down, but the mangalsutra is nowhere to be seen. Slowly, they come to the realization that Anushka must be behind the disappearance. Realising there is no time left, Krishna takes out a beautiful necklace and fastens it around Khushi’s neck, hoping it will distract Nandita and prevent her from noticing the missing mangalsutra.
Moments later, Anushka enters the room and casually invites them to come down to the dining hall. Her expression suggests she is waiting eagerly for Khushi’s downfall.
At the dining table, Queenie observes Khushi’s tense face and becomes even more delighted by her discomfort. Pretending to be affectionate, she asks Nandita to bring Dimpy’s diamond necklace so it can be given to Khushi. The intention, of course, is to force Khushi into a situation where her missing mangalsutra will be noticed. Queenie then declares that she herself would like to place the necklace around Khushi’s neck. However, Krishna steps in and calmly states that diamonds do not suit Khushi. Nandita also disagrees with Queenie, refusing to allow her to pressure Khushi into wearing the diamond necklace. Queenie’s plan is momentarily blocked, and Khushi takes a silent breath of relief.
