The episode opens with Khushi being requested to accompany Baldev Mehra to his house in order to provide emotional and physical support to Dimpy, who is in a vulnerable mental state. However, Nandita strongly opposes Khushi’s return, making it clear that she does not want Khushi back in her life under any circumstances. Khushi, sensing the hostility, firmly states that her decision to go to the Mehra house is driven purely by compassion for Dimpy. She clarifies that she has no intention of staying there permanently and is only fulfilling a moral responsibility. Eventually, they all proceed towards the Mehra residence.
Upon reaching the house, Khushi and Krishna’s presence leaves the family members stunned. Their shock deepens when they see Dimpy after so many years, as her sudden return reopens long-buried memories. Queenie instantly realizes that her elder sister has finally come back home. While Aradhana reacts with visible excitement, Queenie, Vikram, and Diljit struggle to accept this unexpected reunion.
Matters become even more complicated when Nandita reveals the shocking truth that Krishna is actually Dimpy’s son. The family members initially refuse to believe her, remaining in complete denial. It is Baldev who finally exposes the entire truth before everyone, including how Khushi was publicly humiliated by her neighbors and how Krishna applied vermilion on Khushi’s forehead to protect her dignity. Despite this revelation, Queenie remains adamant and once again attempts to throw Khushi out of the house.
At this point, Khushi boldly stands up for herself. She asserts with dignity that she has not come to claim anything from the Mehra family. Her presence there is solely for Dimpy’s sake. Queenie tries to distance Dimpy from Khushi, but Dimpy refuses to let anyone near her except Khushi. Nandita, witnessing the growing bond between Khushi and Dimpy, feels increasingly uncomfortable and emotionally distant. She is deeply unsettled by the possibility of Khushi re-entering Krishna’s life and firmly wishes to prevent any such closeness.
Khushi, however, continues to treat Dimpy with immense care and affection. Dimpy, in turn, clings to Khushi with the trust and love of a child, almost as if Khushi is her only source of comfort. For reasons unknown, Dimpy places complete faith in Khushi. When Nandita later enters the room with new clothes for Dimpy, the situation takes a painful turn. Dimpy fails to recognize her own mother and reacts with fear, refusing to let Nandita touch her. This deeply wounds Nandita, leaving her insecure and heartbroken as she sees terror rather than recognition in her daughter’s eyes.
Khushi gently intervenes, calming Dimpy and persuading her to accept the gifts from Nandita. In a cold and firm tone, Nandita declares that she has only forgiven Krishna because he is her grandson. She makes it clear that she sees no reason to forgive Khushi and strictly forbids any emotional closeness between them. Khushi is taken aback by Nandita’s sudden change in attitude, especially after learning about her family background.
