The episode opens with Krishna entering Khushi’s room to offer an apology on behalf of Nandita, who had earlier humiliated Khushi by asking her to leave the house in exchange for ten lakh rupees. Khushi feels deeply insulted by this incident and makes it clear that such behavior has wounded her self-respect. Krishna reassures her that nothing like this will ever happen again and promises that she will be treated with dignity from now on. However, Khushi refuses to trust his assurances. She reminds him that her presence in the house is solely because of Dimpy, and not because she feels any attachment to the family.
Once again, Krishna bares his heart and acknowledges Khushi as his wife, admitting that even if she refuses to accept him as her husband, he will continue to consider her his own. Khushi, however, remains unmoved. She firmly states that her self-respect matters more to her than the title of being someone’s wife and dismisses his emotional words without hesitation.
At the breakfast table, Aradhana prepares special dishes for Dimpy. While the food fails to impress the other family members, Dimpy becomes visibly delighted upon seeing it, as the dishes remind her of what her child used to love. Despite this, Khushi chooses not to sit beside Dimpy, as she still views herself merely as a caretaker in the household. Krishna notices the tension at the table and excuses himself. Nandita attempts to feed Dimpy herself, but Dimpy grows restless and upset when Khushi is not nearby. She refuses to eat, neither from Dimpy’s hand nor from Queenie’s.
Eventually, Dimpy begins eating on her own, but suddenly the food gets stuck in her throat. In a moment of crisis, Khushi rushes forward and immediately stabilizes her condition. Everyone praises Khushi for her presence of mind and quick action. Krishna, in particular, realizes that Khushi is indispensable, not just to him, but also to his mother.
After the incident, Dimpy becomes calm and visibly comforted by Khushi’s presence and touch. Khushi herself avoids eating breakfast, but Aradhana gently insists that she should eat. Krishna sits beside Khushi and begins serving her food, joining her at the table. In a playful yet manipulative attempt to gain sympathy, Krishna pretends that food is stuck in his throat. Khushi instantly sees through his act. Aradhana watches in surprise, noticing Khushi’s cold indifference toward Krishna. To put an end to his drama, Khushi sharply hits him on the head with a fork. She then makes her stance unmistakably clear: she has no feelings for Krishna and is solely focused on her own dreams. She warns him not to repeat such theatrics, declaring that if he continues, she may leave the house altogether.
Later, Mamta and Sweety arrive at the Mehra house to meet Khushi. Queenie reacts angrily upon seeing them, referring to them as beggars and demanding that they be thrown out. Krishna intervenes to prevent the situation from escalating and manages to calm everyone down. Mamta and Sweety put on a show of concern, claiming they have come to apologize to Khushi for their past behavior. Seeing them unexpectedly fills Khushi with excitement, hinting at unresolved emotions and a possible turn in the story ahead.
