The episode starts with Kanika asking Deepa where she is going. Deepa says that she is going into the house for Jyoti. Kanika tells Deepa not to go inside, as Deepa knows with whom she has sent Jyoti. Deepa asks Kanika what she is talking about. Kanika tells Deepa not to act in front of her and accuses her of sending Jyoti with Karthik so that he would admit Jyoti to an international school. Kanika asks Deepa to stop pretending that she knows nothing. Deepa questions why she would do such a thing. Kanika says that Deepa is trying to act innocent despite knowing everything and comments on it.
Karthik and Jyoti arrive there, and Kanika leaves. Jyoti happily tells Deepa that Karthik has admitted her to the international school she liked earlier. Deepa asks Karthik why he took Jyoti without informing her. Jyoti asks Deepa not to scold Karthik, saying that she was the one who told him about liking the international school. Jyoti then leaves.
Deepa argues with Karthik for admitting Jyoti to another school without informing her. Karthik explains that Jyoti did not like the school she was previously admitted to. Deepa says that it is her and Jyoti’s matter and firmly states that Jyoti will study using her money, not his. She asks Karthik how much he has paid. Karthik hesitates, and Deepa gives him ₹1,800, asking him to tell the full amount or else Jyoti will not attend the school. Karthik finally reveals that the amount is ₹80,000. Deepa says she cannot afford such a large amount, but Karthik assures her that she will manage.
Karthik enters Deepa’s house, takes a piggy bank, and asks her to deposit money into it little by little. He tells her that once it reaches ₹80,000, she can repay him. Karthik asks how long it will take her to repay the amount. Deepa says it will take six months. Karthik agrees but adds a condition that if she fails to repay the money within six months, he will not accept it. Deepa agrees. Chitralekha overhears their conversation. Karthik tells Deepa not to worry about people who bark at her. Chitralekha misunderstands this as being directed at her, gets angry, and decides to teach Deepa a lesson later.
The peon speaks to Bhanu and says that he thinks Karthik is Jyoti’s father, though Karthik had earlier said that Jyoti’s father is someone else. Bhanu asks why he thinks so. The peon shows Bhanu the admission form where Karthik has written his own name in the place of Jyoti’s father. Bhanu gets upset, asks the peon to send him a photo of the form, and leaves.
Deepa feeds Jyoti, who asks how she will go to school every day. Deepa replies that she will drop her in an auto. Jyoti asks if she can go in Karthik’s car instead. Deepa gets upset and scolds Jyoti. Jyoti asks why Deepa is getting angry, and Deepa says that Jyoti is the reason for her anger.
The next day, Deepa is working at the hotel when Bhanu arrives. Deepa asks him why he has come and says she is tired of arguing with him. She tells him that she now wants to live only for her daughter and has taken up a job for that reason. Bhanu comments sarcastically on Deepa and says that he questioned Karthik about the relationship he has with Deepa while keeping her in his relative’s house. Bhanu adds that Karthik beat him but did not answer, which gave him his answer. He then asks Deepa whether he or Karthik is Jyoti’s father.
