The episode starts with Adit coming home happily with balloons and toys for his baby girl. He notices that the house is dark and calls out Sowmya’s name. He hears Sowmya talking to the baby, goes to the room, and finds her in distress with mud on her face. He asks her what happened.
Adit takes the baby from Sowmya and realizes it is a baby doll. Shocked, he drops the balloons, which burst as they hit the fan. Adit angrily asks what kind of joke this is and where their baby girl is. He confronts Sowmya, demanding to know where his daughter is. Sowmya breaks down and says he can meet their daughter in the graveyard because their daughter is dead. She cries and collapses. Adit holds Sowmya.
Akshat opens his eyes and sees Mangal, Kusum, and his cousins. Mangal hugs Akshat. Akshat asks Mangal if he is fine. Mangal assures him that he is strong and completely fine. Akshat says he survived because of the raksha kavach she tied on his hand. Neel says Akshat is strong now and can defeat everyone in the kite competition, including their father. Akshat asks where his dad is. Neel is about to say that Adit went to meet his newborn baby, but Mangal lies and says their father went to the temple to thank God for saving Akshat. Ishana calls Adit and asks him to come to the hospital.
Adit’s phone vibrates on the table. Adit questions Sowmya again and asks her to stop lying about the baby. Sowmya cries and says she wishes she were lying. She blames Mangal for their baby’s death, saying Mangal did it to take revenge on her. Sowmya adds that Mangal could have taken her to the hospital or asked for help, but she didn’t. She says she wants to die along with her baby. Adit hugs her to console her.
Mangal comes to meet Ishana. Ishana questions what could be more important to Adit than Akshat at this moment. Mangal says Adit went to meet his daughter, which was also necessary. Ishana is unhappy with the answer.
At home, Adit gives Sowmya tablets and asks her to calm down. Sowmya asks Adit to stay with her as she has lost her baby. Adit agrees and stays.
Mangal and Kusum return home. Mangal says she has prepared food for Akshat. Kusum asks Mangal to light a diya in the mandir, as Akshat has been given a new life and Sowmya has been blessed with a baby girl. Mangal agrees and is about to light the diya when Sowmya stops her, saying that no lamp should be lit in a house where death has occurred. Mangal says Akshat is fine and questions why Sowmya is speaking this way. Sowmya declares that her daughter is dead and accuses Mangal of killing her.
Mangal insists that the baby was fine at birth and asks why Sowmya is blaming her. She says she handed the baby to the nurse after delivery. Sowmya claims that the nurse told her the baby had died and accuses Mangal of not taking her to the hospital, causing the baby’s death by performing the delivery herself. Mangal is shocked as Sowmya calls her a murderer. Mangal recalls handing the baby girl safely to Sowmya.
Sowmya tries to attack Mangal with a knife, but Adit stops her. Mangal attempts to explain herself to Adit, but he stops her and questions why she did not take Sowmya to the hospital. Kusum intervenes and says it was not Mangal’s fault, as she herself had asked Mangal to do the delivery since Sowmya was already in labor, and she had heard the baby cry too. Adit says he never even got to see his baby and accuses Mangal of doing wrong. He takes Sowmya inside.
Mangal breaks down, recalling all the accusations made against her. She grows suspicious of Sowmya, as she clearly remembers that Sowmya delivered a healthy baby girl.
Later, Adit asks Sowmya to eat. Sowmya cries and says he allowed her to stay in the house for the baby, and now that the baby is gone, she wants to leave. Adit consoles her.
Akshat asks Shanti about his father. Shanti tells him that Adit will come soon. Mangal arrives with food. Akshat insists that he will eat only with his father and refuses to eat if Adit does not come. Mangal steps outside and breaks down in tears. Shanti consoles Mangal and tells her not to blame herself, saying she saved both Sowmya and the baby, and if the baby is dead, it is not her fault.
