The episode starts with Sowmya meeting a woman named Reema and paying her money. She takes her baby from the cradle and apologises for coming late. Sowmya tells the baby that she is playing a new drama about her death to get back her father, Adit, and that Mangal will die in guilt, believing she is responsible for the baby’s death. Sowmya asks Reema to take care of her daughter and not let anyone find out that the baby is alive and is her daughter.
Adit cries in Kusum’s lap and tells his mother that he is an unlucky father who did not even get the chance to hold his daughter. Kusum consoles him. Later, Reema meets Sowmya in the market with the baby and tells her that she is going to her village and asks Sowmya to take back her child. Sowmya argues with her. Mangal spots Sowmya and starts coming towards them, but due to an auto passing by, she misses them. Mangal wonders who the woman Sowmya was talking to. She sees Reema leaving and confronts her, asking why she met Sowmya. Reema pushes Mangal and runs away. Mangal chases her, catches her pallu, and makes her fall. Reema throws sand into Mangal’s eyes and escapes. Unable to see, Mangal stumbles on the road and is about to meet with an accident, but Lakshmi arrives in time and saves her. Mangal tells Lakshmi that sand has gone into her eyes. Lakshmi washes her eyes, and a crying Mangal hugs Lakshmi.
Sowmya covers the baby with a shawl and brings her home. She thinks about hiding the baby before anyone sees her. She notices Kusum and hurriedly places the baby in a flower pot, covering her with flowers. Kusum asks Sowmya what she is doing there. Sowmya says she felt sad at home and went out for a walk. Kusum takes the flower pot to decorate the mandir. She hears a baby’s sound and gets confused, shocking Sowmya.
Lakshmi asks Mangal if something is troubling her. Mangal tells Lakshmi how Sowmya accused her of murdering her daughter and says she is sure that Sowmya’s baby is alive. She also shares how she saw Sowmya meeting a woman in the market but failed to catch her. Lakshmi says Sowmya can never be trusted and insists they must expose the secret she is hiding.
Sowmya misleads Kusum by showing baby videos on her phone and claims the sound came from them. Kusum believes Sowmya is in shock due to her baby’s loss and prays for her recovery. When Sowmya pretends to feel dizzy, Kusum goes to the kitchen to prepare kadha. Taking advantage of the moment, Sowmya takes the baby to her room.
Mangal and Lakshmi trace Reema’s house through her slippers and notice an expensive cradle there. Lakshmi becomes convinced that Sowmya lied about the baby’s death. Meanwhile, Sowmya struggles to control the baby’s cries at home. Mangal and Lakshmi confront Reema, who is packing her bags. Reema calls her neighbours for help, but Mangal and Lakshmi pretend to be police officers. Reema reveals that Sowmya herself gave the baby to her and threatened to harm Reema’s daughter if she refused. She clarifies that she is not involved in baby trafficking. Reema says she returned the baby to Sowmya before leaving for her village. Mangal and Lakshmi realise the baby is alive and leave immediately.
Mangal tells Lakshmi that it is unbelievable how Sowmya could declare her living baby dead and manipulate everyone. She expresses her pain, recalling how Sowmya made her feel guilty for the baby’s death. Lakshmi insists they must expose Sowmya but first locate the baby, as Sowmya might harm her. Sowmya speaks to someone on the phone and arranges to hide her baby for a few days in exchange for money. Believing no one is home, she prepares to move the baby but hears the doorbell and hides the baby in the storeroom.
Mangal and Lakshmi arrive disguised as pest control workers. They convince Sowmya to let them in but notice that she is tense and not allowing them near the storeroom. Lakshmi sprays liquid on Sowmya’s feet, warning her to wash them immediately. While Sowmya leaves, Mangal unlocks the storeroom and searches for the baby. Sowmya returns and confronts Lakshmi. Lakshmi pushes Sowmya aside and blocks the door. Sowmya removes Lakshmi’s mask and realises the truth, understanding that Mangal is inside the storeroom.
The doorbell rings again. Adit and Kusum return home and question the smoke and Lakshmi’s presence. Sowmya accuses Mangal and Lakshmi of torturing her and asks Adit to save her. Mangal arrives holding Sowmya’s baby and declares that she did not kill the baby. She reminds Sowmya that she saved the baby both earlier and today. A shocked Sowmya is questioned by Mangal about why she declared her living baby dead.
