The episode starts with Mahadev seeing Ramesh arrive at his mill. Mahadev asks Ramesh why he has come there. Ramesh tells Mahadev that he had to come.
Ramesh complains to Mahadev about Ketan and Dheeraj coming to his house to ask for Narmada’s hand in marriage for Ketan. Mahadev tells Ramesh that he is mistaken. Ramesh taunts Mahadev, and Mahadev apologises on behalf of his son. Ramesh says that Narmada’s engagement is in three days, so he does not want to create a scene. Mahadev assures him that Ketan and Dheeraj will not repeat this and reminds him of their family’s reputation. Ramesh mocks Mahadev and reminds him that twenty years ago, Mahadev had fallen in love with Bajpai’s daughter, Vidya, and now Ketan is repeating the same mistake. He also reminds Mahadev that he helped him secure a loan for the rice mill. Enraged, Mahadev warns Ramesh to stop, or he will lose control. Ramesh threatens that if this happens again, he will come with the police and not spare Mahadev’s sons.
Ketan worries about Ramesh’s reaction. Dheeraj tells him that if Ramesh spoke to Mahadev directly, it means he has backed down, but if he takes another step, they will deal with it later.
Mahadev returns home and angrily asks Vidya where Ketan and Dheeraj are. He tells her that he has been humiliated. Vidya informs him that they are in their room.
Mahadev storms into Ketan and Dheeraj’s room and lashes out at them, declaring that there is no place for them in the house anymore.
Vidya asks Mahadev what happened. Mahadev tells her about Ketan’s love affair with Narmada, the daughter of Ramesh, who helped him get the mill loan. He accuses Ketan of breaking the oath he once took and scolds Dheeraj for going to Ramesh’s house as the elder of the family. Mahadev says he is tired of being their father and criticises his sons—calling Ashish a drunkard, Ketan a playboy, and questioning Dheeraj’s responsibility as the elder. He tells Priya that Dheeraj, not Mahadev, will now find a groom for her. Declaring himself dead to them from that day onward, Mahadev leaves.
Ketan and Ashish apologise to Mahadev. Mahadev says he has worked hard to live with dignity and asks them not to destroy his honour. He asks his sons to promise that they will walk only on the path he has chosen. Vidya makes Ashish promise to quit alcohol and Ketan promise to end his relationship with Narmada. She asks Dheeraj to promise to follow Mahadev’s principles, but Dheeraj says that although they have sacrificed a lot for their children, he does not agree with all of Mahadev’s beliefs and cannot follow them.
Precap: Ketan asks Narmada over the phone to forget him. Dheeraj confronts Ketan, saying Narmada is ready to leave her family for him, but he is scared. Ketan hits Dheeraj.
Our Take: Mahadev’s wounded pride turns into harsh decisions, shaking the foundation of his family. Ketan’s love story becomes the trigger that exposes years of suppressed anger and control. With promises forced and emotions ignored, the house feels moments away from breaking apart.
