The episode starts with Shanti telling Kusum and Mangal that she has been feeling a bad omen since morning, and now Adit has run off to Sowmya. Kusum tells Shanti that Adit would never go to Sowmya.
Mangal receives a call from Adit. Adit tells Mangal that he cannot come home from now onwards. He asks Mangal to come and meet him and sends her his location.
Mangal goes to the temple to meet Adit. She sees Ishana there and asks her what she is doing there. Ishana tells Mangal that she wanted to make sure Adit is alright. Mangal tells Ishana that Adit is fine and that he called her there so they could talk privately. Mangal asks Ishana to leave. Ishana agrees and says she will go inside the temple before leaving.
Adit arrives to meet Mangal. Mangal asks Adit if the baby is fine and whether Sowmya has done anything to the baby. Adit tells Mangal not to act smart. He then tells her that he does not want to marry her. Adit says he wants to live with the person he loves and that he wants to live with Sowmya and the baby. Mangal asks Adit why he apologised to her if he never wanted to live with her. Adit replies that he did it because of Akshat’s condition and that it was just drama.
Ishana prays to God and hopes that Mangal and Adit do not get into an argument.
Mangal laughs painfully at herself for believing someone like Adit, who has never supported her even once. She tells Adit that she thought he had changed, but it was her foolishness. Mangal asks Adit what she should tell the children. Adit remains silent. Ishana notices Mangal shouting at Adit and wonders why she is doing so. Mangal tells Adit that she will not marry him and asks him to leave. Ishana comes to Mangal and asks why she is asking Adit to leave. Mangal tells Ishana that she is a child and will not understand. Adit leaves. Mangal asks Ishana to come with her, but Ishana says she will stay with Adit. Ishana calls out to Adit, but he continues to leave.
Sudesh and Kusum find a letter written by Adit to Kusum. In the letter, Adit says that he does not want to repeat the mistake he made 15 years ago. He writes that he wants to live his life with Sowmya and the baby and apologises to Kusum for his decision. Kusum is shattered after reading the letter.
Adit sits in his car and drives away. Ishana tries to stop him, but Mangal asks her not to. While trying to avoid a collision with a truck, Adit loses control of the car, and it falls off the hill. Mangal and Ishana rush to the cliff but are unable to see Adit. They break down, crying for him. It is shown that Sowmya says that she has finally won against Mangal. Adit is alive and recalls how Sowmya threatened to kill the baby if he did not sign the legal papers stating that he would leave Mangal and his family in exchange for the baby’s custody. Sowmya threatened to jump from the terrace with the baby if he refused. Seeing her madness, Adit finally agrees and signs the papers. In his injured state, Adit recalls his happy moments with Mangal and the family.
Adit looks up and imagines Mangal crying. He thinks that Sowmya forced him to take this step and hopes Mangal will forgive him.
People say that when a car falls from a cliff, survival is very difficult. Mangal tries to console Ishana, but Ishana pushes her away. Ishana tells Mangal that she allowed her father to leave and broke his heart, which is why he died. She holds Mangal responsible for Adit’s death. Mangal stands there in shock. Adit closes his eyes.
