The episode begins with Deepa returning home from the temple. Bhagyasree comes to Deepa and asks her what happened at the police station. Deepa tells Bhagyasree that Bhanu has been released. She also says that she asked Karthik to withdraw the police complaint against Bhanu. Bhagyasree questions Deepa about why she asked Karthik to withdraw the complaint. Deepa replies that she was forced to do so.
Bhagyasree says that she saw Vijayanti coming to meet Deepa the previous night and asks whether Vijayanti forced her. Deepa asks Bhagyasree how she understands her so well without being told the reason. Bhagyasree replies that she considers Deepa her daughter and comments on it. Deepa then reveals that Vijayanti threatened her by saying she would tell Jyoti the truth about Bhanu being her real father. Deepa explains that Jyoti considers her father a hero, so she had no choice but to get Bhanu released from jail. Bhagyasree says that there is only one solution now and tells Deepa that she must divorce Bhanu. She adds that Bhanu is like a cancer that will destroy the entire body if it is not separated in time. Deepa thinks about it.
Karthik returns home. Kanika asks him what happened at the police station. Karthik tells her that Deepa has withdrawn the police complaint against Bhanu. Kanika and Ranjit ask him why Deepa did so, but Karthik says he doesn’t know the reason. Kanika suggests that it can only mean Deepa still has a soft corner for Bhanu and asks Karthik to think of any other reason why Deepa would withdraw the complaint. After thinking for a while, Karthik agrees with Kanika and says that Deepa must have been forced to take this step. He thanks Kanika for clearing his confusion, and Ranjit praises her. Kanika then leaves.
The next day, Deepa wakes Jyoti and asks her to get ready for school. Jyoti agrees, and Deepa helps her get ready. Deepa then takes Jyoti to the temple. Jyoti asks why they are going there, and Deepa explains that it is Krishna’s death anniversary.
Kanchan offers orange juice to Karthik, and he thanks her. Karthik then receives a phone call, which Kanchan puts on speaker. Kanika asks Karthik if he would like to go to the temple with her. Karthik apologises and says he has an important meeting. Kanchan convinces him to go to the temple with Kanika, and Karthik agrees, telling Kanika that he will pick her up.
Kanika tells Chitralekha that her plan has worked and says that going to the temple was just an excuse to spend quality time with Karthik.
Karthik arrives at the Kothari house, where Bhagyasree meets him. Bhagyasree asks whether he is upset with Deepa for withdrawing the police complaint against Bhanu. Karthik replies that he knows Deepa must have been forced to take such a drastic step. Bhagyasree reveals that Vijayanti threatened Deepa by saying she would tell Jyoti the truth about Bhanu if the complaint was not withdrawn. Karthik says that earlier he only knew Deepa was forced, but now he knows the reason as well. Kanika arrives, and Karthik leaves for the temple with her.
Deepa and Jyoti reach the temple, followed by Karthik and Kanika. Karthik and Deepa unknowingly stand beside each other. A lot of sindoor falls on the floor, and both of them step on it as they walk forward with their eyes closed in prayer. Seeing this, a priest tells another priest that there is a special divine blessing on this couple, as their left footprints resemble those of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.
Deepa prays to God to protect Jyoti. Karthik prays and says that he doesn’t know why, but he keeps thinking about Deepa.
Deepa performs pind daan for Krishna. She notices that no crows come to eat the offering and asks the pandit about it. The pandit explains that this happens only when the person is still alive.
