The episode starts with Vijayanti comforting Shobha. Vijayanti tells Bhanu that the reports will not change just because he keeps looking at them again and again. She asks Bhanu to accept that Shobha cannot become a mother. Shobha gets upset hearing this and leaves. Vijayanti suggests that Bhanu leave Shobha, but Bhanu says he cannot leave her and asks Vijayanti to think of a solution. Vijayanti replies that there is only one solution.
Bhagyasree comes to Deepa and tells her that she received a call from Jyoti’s school. Bhagyasree informs Deepa that Jyoti is scared to go on stage and recite poetry in front of everyone.
Jyoti calls Karthik and asks him to come to her. She tells him that she is afraid to go on stage and recite poetry in front of everyone. Jyoti asks Karthik to come as Deepa does not have a phone. Karthik says he is coming right away. Kanika reminds Karthik about their plans to go shopping and to a restaurant, but Karthik remains silent. Kanika then asks him to drop her there.
Deepa reaches the school and sees Karthik encouraging Jyoti by telling her a story. Deepa advises Jyoti not to care about what others think. Jyoti agrees and later tells Deepa how Karthik encouraged her.
Jyoti goes on stage and recites her poem confidently. Everyone applauds her performance.
Deepa then sees Bhanu at the school and asks him why he has come. Bhanu tells Deepa that he has come to make a compromise and assures her that he will not interfere in her life. Deepa says that Bhanu never does anything without profit and asks him what he wants. Bhanu says he wants Jyoti. Deepa angrily asks if he has gone crazy. Bhanu reminds her that a father has as much right as a mother over their child. Deepa refuses to hand over Jyoti’s custody and argues with him. Bhanu gives Deepa 24 hours to decide, saying that he knows she will make the right choice. He adds that a mother would never want her daughter to bear the stigma of being called illegitimate. Bhanu leaves.
Karthik meets Deepa and apologises to her. He tells her that Bhagyasree explained why she made him withdraw the police complaint against Bhanu. Karthik says that if he were in her place, he would have done the same. Deepa reacts silently. Karthik says that she still has not forgiven him and adds that he will not come down from the tree until she forgives him. Deepa pleads with him, but he refuses to come down. Left with no choice, Deepa forgives him.
Jyoti joins them and tells Deepa that she performed well on stage, giving all the credit to Karthik. Jyoti says she will no longer be afraid of anyone. Hearing this, Deepa thinks that she too should not be afraid of Bhanu. Deepa and Jyoti return home.
Kanika complains to Chitralekha that Deepa is using Jyoti to ruin her time with Karthik. She says they must do something about Deepa and Jyoti. Chitralekha takes Kanika to Bhagyasree.
Chitralekha urges Bhagyasree not to wait any longer and says this is the right time to fix Kanika and Karthik’s wedding. Bhagyasree replies that Karthik will agree to the marriage only after the restaurant is completed. Chitralekha reminds her that the restaurant is almost ready and that the wedding should not be delayed. Bhagyasree agrees and tells Kanika that she will speak to Kanchan. Kanika thanks Chitralekha.
Chitralekha then asks Kanika to give her hand and places a hairband on her wrist. When Kanika asks why, Chitralekha tells her to stretch the band and snap it against her arm whenever she gets angry at Karthik. She advises Kanika not to give Karthik any reason to delay or postpone the wedding. Kanika agrees.
