The episode starts with after 5years leap, Mangal purchasing items from the market. Everyone warmly talks to her and asks if today is special, as she is buying many things. Mangal says that today is truly a special day. Suddenly, a car being driven rashly creates chaos in the market. Mangal follows the car in an auto and reaches a bungalow. She tries to enter the house, asking who was driving the car so rashly, but the guard stops her, saying that the driver is the malik’s daughter and he cannot allow her inside. Mangal does not listen. The guard says that he will lose his job on his first day because of her. Just then, Sudesh arrives and tells him that Mangal herself is the malik of the house. The guard apologizes to Mangal, but she says he is only doing his duty and there is no need to apologize. It is revealed that Mangal and her family are now living a lavish life.
Kusum gets ready in the saree that Mangal had bought for her when they went to Banaras for the Pehla Swad meeting. She tells Gayatri to wear it if she wants. Gayatri refuses and says that Mangal may have changed now and might not even remember her birthday.
Sudesh tells Mangal that she has not changed at all and that she bought everything from the market herself, even though she could have sent a worker. Mangal smiles. Kusum calls the driver to take her to the temple, and Mangal overhears this. She wishes Kusum a happy birthday and shows her the items she bought for the pooja. Kusum feels happy. She tells Gayatri that her Mangal has not changed and is still the same. Gayatri does not like this.
Mangal confronts Ishana for driving the car rashly in the market. She says that she gave her the car to make her self-reliant, but she is misusing it. Ishana asks if she will die if she drives rashly. Kusum questions Ishana about talking of death and says that she has changed since the Adit incident. Ishana leaves.
Mangal goes and gives hing water to Ishana and asks her to move on from the past incident. Gayatri tries to overhear their conversation related to Adit, but Sudesh comes there and ruins her plan. Gayatri leaves. Mangal asks Ishana to participate in the pooja for Kusum’s sake, but Ishana refuses and breaks a cup. Shubhi collects the broken pieces. Ishana taunts Shubhi, saying that her favorite person is here, so she should go and give her advice. Shubhi takes the broken cup pieces in tears and says she feels bad seeing the cup. Mangal consoles her.
Kusum and everyone gather for the pooja. Kusum notices that Ishana has not come. Shubhi goes to Ishana and requests her to attend the pooja for Kusum’s sake. Ishana tells Shubhi to attend the pooja and wear one of her churidars, asking her to keep it. Shubhi agrees and again requests Ishana to attend the pooja.
Mangal and the others wait for Ishana. Shubhi joins them and starts the sankalpam. Ishana also arrives at the pooja. Kusum and Mangal feel happy seeing her. Mangal begins the pooja and recalls how Shubhi became a victim of a bomb blast in the past, how she survived, and how she came to live with them. Kusum and Sudesh perform the aarti and recall moments with Mangal and Adit. While doing the aarti, Ishana remembers Adit’s accident and how she blamed Mangal for his death. The pooja is completed.
Later, Kusum cuts the cake and happily feeds Mangal and the others. Shubhi suggests taking a family photo. Gayatri questions how the whole family can be together. Suddenly, they hear the doorbell ring. Everyone looks on.
